Today we’d like to introduce you to Valmare Beauty. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Valmare {Val-Mar-eh}: A combination of two sisters, Valentina & Marla.
From sisters to business partners, we opened our first brick-and-mortar boutique in Little Italy, San Diego in 2019. In our boutique you could find Women’s clothing (including our own brand), accessories, jewelry, and skincare. After four years of being in business and seeing the drastic demand there is for natural, clean products, we took the leap and created our own natural skincare brand. {Valmare Boutique; Awarded Best Boutique in San Diego 2022}
Valentina: Studied Product Development in the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise. Diagnosed with multiple autoimmune conditions and dealing with cystic acne since her teenage years. She took the initiative to study and get certified as a Nutrition and Wellness Consultant with the goal of naturally healing herself. After successfully achieving it, even though multiple doctors told her the conditions she had were incurable, she decided she wanted to help others the natural way.
Marla: Studied Business Management. Suffered from acne for many years. Being a Production Makeup Artist, she was constantly hearing the same issues from models and actors regarding their skin, the brands they used, and how certain makeup didn’t do well on them. Coming to a conclusion that it all comes down to their skincare routine and the ingredients in the products they use.
We both came together and used our knowledge of our own experiences. We have curated a brand with clean and nourishing ingredients your skin will love.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely been a bumpy road but like any new business. It was not easy finding formulators here in the US that could create exactly what we were looking for. Many of them use harsh chemicals because it is cheaper or because they’ll last longer, but that was not our goal. Our products are paraben, gluten, and cruelty-free.

We are a family-owned business who began in the fashion industry in 2014. Along the way, we have been introduced with a new industry that aligns with our goals and values. We are proud to have been able to help ourselves as well as other with our skincare brand. The feedback has been nothing but positive, and the returning customers just confirm how we are going in the right direction.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
We believe that with time more and more people are realizing the importance of what we put in our body and how crucial it is to take care of it. We hope that we can build conscious over the next few years about the alternative ways there are to fix our health issues internally as well as externally.
