Today we’d like to introduce you to Claire Sporck.
Hi Claire, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always had love for healthy food and cooking since I was a little girl. I started a blog right after college, and from this, I grew my love for food photography. I also worked as a food stylist for a media agency in LA for a year and a half, and during this time, I built my own business doing food photography and videography for brands. I went full-time with my own company starting in January 2022 once I built up my clientele.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It took me four years to build my business from the ground up. I had no experience in photography and no professional food training. It was a long process but worth all of the hard work I put it. I love having my own company now, where I can be creative and work with clean and healthy ingredients.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a food & lifestyle photographer and videographer. I work with brands who send me products, and I create content for them, whether that be for their blog, newsletter, Instagram, TikTok, etc… typically, I work with food brands.
I currently started working on a project where I am hosting intimate dinner parties where I design a menu and table scape featuring and working with some of my favorite brands. This is something I am proud of and passionate about because I love cooking for others and sharing food around the table.
I feel like my combination of food, art, and lifestyle sets my brand apart from others. I love showing others bits and pieces of my world so they can feel inspired to cook beautiful and nourishing recipes for their friends and family.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I love any cookbook with beautiful photography and farm-to-table recipes. Some of my favorites are:
Cook Beautiful
Cherry Bombe
Gjelina
I love looking at others’ food photography & blogs for inspiration:
Eye Swoon – Athena Calderone
Bojongourmet
Suech & Beck
I love trying new restaurants as well for recipe inspiration!
