Today we’d like to introduce you to Cecilia Mortimer.
Hi Cecilia , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Even as a small kid in Sweden I was able to see things that not everyone saw. I could see energy and I could see patterns that my family didn’t understand. I was brought up in an environment where achievement in school and education was really important and where success was built on a good income and secure employment. Not bad things but not exactly my soul’s journey. As for many, social programming was strong and I achieved all that – a top University, a great career and a big paycheck. Still I knew something was missing and that my true potential wasn’t unfolding.
I started to experiment with meditation which quickly aligned me with my inner voice. I started to be directed to different people who helped me on my journey. I found my Energy Healing teacher and mentor, Ulla Anderen and from her I learned a profound Healing Method with techniques from ancient Egyptian mystery schools. Her teacher was Amorah Quan Yin who lived in Mount Shasta.
When I now opened up the Healing programs here in California I feel that I have in a way brought the method back to its origin. The programs that I have launched are profoundly transforming the participants’ paths which is equally rewarding to me. To be able to be part of transformation is to me not a job but a way to fill my life with meaning and purpose. So many people work on their spiritual journey and to be able to work with that is a true blessing.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I worked a lot on myself to be able to come where I am today. Mostly with overcoming my fears and to trust and listen within. I had all sorts of fears, to not fit in, not be able to keep my friends and family close when I said yes to my spiritual side, to not have enough money and thus security. And of course to believe in myself.
It was also hard in the beginning to talk about my work and to meet customers here in the US. I arrived here only 2 years ago from Europe and didn’t know anyone. Turns out that when the time was right opportunities came and I am now working in this beautiful gem called The Indigo Dragon in Encinitas both with 1-1 sessions and my Healing programs.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I brought the Healing Academy – Divine Oneness to Encinitas last year. It is based on the beautiful work of Amorah Quan Yin from Mount Shasta. The beauty with the program is that the participants work on themselves, learn these powerful tools and do energy work on each other at same time. The group dynamic is so important and to belong to a group with like minded and with whom you will create powerful bonds.
When working with clients individually I work a lot on evolving and transforming people and organizations. I help to clear blockages, negative thoughts and unhealthy patterns as well as set boundaries and find the true purpose and path of people or groups.
My many years as an executive enables me to be trusted to do this work within organizations too. Which I love because that is a very powerful way to create positive transformation for a lot of people. I believe that the more people that find their true purpose and their path the more we will experience a positive force around us.
That is why I do Monday Meditations, a meditation circle available for everyone on Zoom. Just send me a message if you would like to join. I love to be able to give back to my international community through this circle.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love the beaches, the ocean. the desert and the mountains. To me living in San Diego is all about being close to nature. A true gem is the meditation garden in the Self Realization center in Encinitas and the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park. And of course The Indigo Dragon for Acupuncture and The Soul of Yoga for Kundalini Yoga. I don’t love the traffic and that you are so dependent on your car to go places – specially for the kids.
