Today we’d like to introduce you to Daisy Romero.
Hi Daisy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a child, I envisioned doing everything, turning all my dreams into reality by drawing them with crayons on my bedroom walls. I have reached this point in my life by believing in myself and maintaining a lot of discipline. It all began at 17 when I decided to make a name for myself. I left home for Chicago, where the tall buildings at night felt like stars in the sky. From there, I made my way to the tropical island of Hawaii, where I experienced both good and bad times. I finally ended up in the beautiful city of San Diego, surrounded by city night lights, palm trees, and the beach on the coast.
I see myself as a visionary, creator, and entrepreneur. My businesses are shaped by life experiences, primarily through gratitude and reflection. I am passionate about mental health, having navigated through challenging times to reach my current state of well-being. My mindset played a crucial role in shaping the person I am today, propelling me forward through the toughest moments. I had to be my own support system, believing in myself every step of the way. This journey has shown me the capability to achieve anything I set my mind to, and my goal is to inspire others to see their own potential and possibilities in life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The hardest struggle was by far the ultimate gamble—my very existence. Even amid a very dark moment, I was granted a second chance at creating something meaningful with my life. It hasn’t always been a smooth road because, at the end of the day, I’m the one who needs to persist in putting in the hard work, even when I don’t feel like it. Discipline has been the key player in all of this. As someone who didn’t go to school for this and lacked connections in the field, I am convinced that anything we set our minds to can be achieved. It’s a matter of waking up every day and choosing to give our best effort. Working through the problems becomes an integral part of the journey, shaping us into who we are meant to be.
We’ve been impressed with Pretty Picnic Things & Pretty Mindset, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I manage two distinct brands: Pretty Picnic Things and Pretty Mindset. Pretty Picnic Things is a luxury & aesthetic picnic setup service, encouraging people to appreciate the beauty in life and their surroundings. It’s about reflection, enjoying company, and celebrating every moment during a picnic. From an anniversary, birthday, proposal, Bridal shower, baby shower, Mother’s Day, or any event, we are here whenever you’re ready.
On the other hand, Pretty Mindset is a lifestyle clothing brand promoting confidence and cultivating a positive mentality. I aim for people to feel good about wearing something that influences their confidence and mindset, representing a pretty outlook on life. Every season has something new to offer.
Both of my businesses actively support local ventures. Pretty Picnic Things collaborates with San Diego vendors, enhancing the picnic experience and fostering a supportive community for the clients. Similarly, with Pretty Mindset, I provide a platform for individuals to express themselves doing what they love. What sets me apart is my genuine commitment to giving back. I take pride in all my accomplishments, big or small, as they reflect the goals I set for myself.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Feel free to reach out and share your ideas – the possibilities are endless. I’m always open to collaboration and support in various forms. Whether you’re interested in modeling, designing, or marketing, I love providing opportunities for people to gain experience in their desired fields. Don’t hesitate to connect, as you never know what opportunities might unfold. If you’re looking to support my business or others in San Diego, consider booking, sharing, buying, or following on social platforms. Every form of support goes a long way, even if you just tell a friend.
