Today we’d like to introduce you to Gallery at Lands End. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Gallery at Lands End was founded in 1973 by Jay and Vicki Ford and specializes in custom picture framing. The baton was passed to new owner and master framer, Thayne Yungman, in 2006. In addition to the framing side of the business, we also have a gift shop featuring work by local San Diego artisans.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We’ve been lucky over the years to have such amazing support from our local Pacific Beach community. Of course, there are ups and downs in running a business, but communication and listening to our customers have been key to our success. We take pride in our work, and great customer service is our focus.
We’ve been impressed with Gallery at Lands End, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We truly love working with our customers to come up with the perfect framing design for their artwork, heirloom piece, or diploma. Our team has a great eye for design, so we always come up with the best way to showcase your art. Our skilled framers take the designs to the finish line by building each piece with care and precision.
While custom framing is the bulk of our business, the gift shop filled with locally made products is what people love coming in for. We showcase only San Diego-made items from artists all around the county. Our artisans put their hearts into their work, and we love carefully displaying each piece for our customers to enjoy and purchase.
