Today, we’d like to introduce you to Andy Farra.
Andy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My wife and I started dating in high school and had a vision of creating a travel magazine and all the stoke that the open road had to offer.
That’s where the name Astray was born, a lust for freedom and the idea of navigating off the beaten path.
A few years later, with no magazine, we fell into the wedding industry, and the name was put to use.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We are beyond blessed to have the career we have and the opportunities it has provided. Our success has been a continual climb over the past seven years, and we work tirelessly to bring the best experience to all of our couples.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe you can tell us more about your work next?
My wife and I are the owners of Astray Photo & Video, a team of wedding photographers and videographers. Being able to be a part of one of the most important days in a person’s life is a pretty special thing to say and something we are beyond thrilled to do.
At the end of the day, we are a service-based industry. In today’s world, it is rare to receive top-quality service. We take pride in offering that – quality service. From the initial call to the final gallery delivery, we prioritize communication and treating everyone with the most common principle: treat others how you want to be treated.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
“To Have Someone Understand Your Mind Is A Different Kind of Intimacy.” Working with your spouse can sound like a nightmare for some; for others, it is a dream come true. Luckily, we are the second, haha. Being able to think what the other is and move to certain locations, almost reading each other’s minds, is pretty cool to see in action.
Working with other photographers or videographers from other companies can sometimes bring issues as far as directing and stepping in your shot. Being able to offer both photos and videos from the same company is something that many clients find valuable, and we strongly encourage it.
Pricing:
- Our couples, on average, invest $10-12k for their wedding for both photo & video.
