Jamie Waller has been in the painting industry since 1990. As an apprentice, it was a full year before Jamie was allowed to pick up a paintbrush. His mentor taught Jamie a paint job is only as good as the prep work. Maverick Painting is a family-owned, local painting contractor.
Unlike large paint companies and national chain companies, Jamie is on-site at every job. Most local contractors just drop off materials to a crew and only return to collect a check.
For over 20 years, Jamie has taken pride in personally transforming every home and will see every job through to the very last detail. Maverick Painting is changing the image of a “typical contractor.”
Jamie is a loving father of two beautiful girls, Nicole Renee Baker and Cheyenne Raine Waller.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In the midst of the recession, Jamie took on the challenge of providing for his family by launching his own painting business.
Encouraged by his mother’s support in purchasing his first spray rig, Jamie enlisted the help of family members to develop a website featuring informative blogs and educational videos.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Jamie followed in his parent’s footsteps by competing against adults in the cowboy fast draw association at just seven years old.
Jamie attracted significant attention for winning numerous competitions. Jamie gave gun safety demonstrations at elementary schools. By age 10, Jamie had appeared on popular TV shows like “That’s Incredible” and “The Today Show.”Jamie traveled worldwide to give demonstrations and make TV appearances.
