Nolan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My entrepreneurial journey began at a young age, inspired by watching my parents work hard and run their luxury custom home-building company in Chelan, WA called Parmenter Homes. This early exposure allowed me to see firsthand the dedication and effort required to build a successful business, and I learned valuable lessons from their experiences.
I discovered my passion for photography and videography early on, starting with capturing moments of friends and family and creating travel videos for Instagram and YouTube. After a few years, I decided to monetize this passion. My first concert in high school was a pivotal moment—I saw photographers capturing the energy of the event, and I knew I wanted to be part of that world. After sending numerous DMs to shoot at music festivals, various venues, and for many artist, I broke into the music industry, eventually filming for headlining artists at country music festivals across the country. While still in high school, I had founded a brand that is known as Pizzyvisuals that showcases my artist portfolio and also use to have clothing line drops. This immersion in the music scene further fueled my love for photography, which I continue to pursue through music and festival photography today.
Alongside this venture, I actively contributed to my family’s business, Parmenter Homes. Where I help run the social media. It has been very cool to see the growth of the family business from the efforts of social media and high quality photos and videos that we post.
In 2022, I graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in Business Administration and married my beautiful wife, Lucy. I wanted to expand my photography and entrepreneurship skills into the real estate media industry and this is where I became an editor for a real estate media company that is based in florida, called Array. They taught me the ins and outs of the industry and helped me immensely with their knowledge. After about 6 months getting mentored by them, it was time for me to begin my own path and break into the real estate media industry in San Diego. This is where Radiate begins.
Growing up in the family business, I developed a deep appreciation for architecture, building, and real estate. Combining these interests with my photography skills led to the creation of Radiate, a real estate media company specializing in high-quality photos and videos for real estate listings. As the social media manager for Parmenter Homes, I honed my ability to capture and share stunning real estate visuals on Instagram.
At Radiate, our mission is to provide exceptional customer service and top-tier photos and videos for real estate agents and their listings. Although Radiate is still a young company, and trying to grow, we are dedicated to making connections with real estate professionals throughout San Diego County and are confident in our ability to deliver outstanding luxury real estate media.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a new company has undoubtedly presented its challenges. However, I thrive on the process of building new ventures, navigating obstacles, and emerging stronger on the other side. Currently, one of the primary challenges is establishing connections with real estate agents in San Diego County and breaking into the market and gaining trust of people in the industry. This is a common hurdle for any new business, but I am eager to overcome it. I look forward to conquering this obstacle and am excited to continue pursuing this journey as a business owner.
