Today we’d like to introduce you to Erika Ortiz
Hi Erika, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey into Reiki started in 2013 as a patient receiving from a local Reiki Master. This was at a time in my life when I felt hopeless, crippling anxious, confused, and looking for answers to ease my pain (the state in which most of my patients find me now). I received Reiki once or twice a month for a year and a half and watched myself and my life transform. Reiki became an essential part of my life, not knowing it would be my Soul’s work.
After years of receiving Reiki, I became a Usui Reiki practitioner in 2017 in Puebla, Mexico. I received my Bachelor’s in Business Administration (2016-2020) from UDLAP, and a Master’s in Transpersonal Development from Instituto Universitario Transpersonal in Puebla, Mexico (2020-2022). This was in pursuit of sharing my work with fundamental knowledge of the wellness industry. After years of practice, I felt called to complete my Usui Reiki Master certification in February 2023.
Since the beginning of my healing journey I received support and guidance from different specialists like psychotherapists, energy healers, chiropractors, acupuncturists, psychics, Reiki Masters, breathwork facilitators, somatic workers, family constellation practitioners, athletic trainers, coaches, astrologers, kundalini energy workers, to name a few! Everything I have learned in my healing journey has served me in guiding others through their pain and unique healing journey today.
My purpose today is to help people navigate their inner world by witnessing their pain and letting go of their old stories and energetic setbacks. To allow to connect to their highest potential and true Self. We approach psycho-emotional-somatic-spiritual wellness in one session to truly land in ease and vitality.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting my business took a leap of faith and trust in my inner knowing like never before. It required me to listen to my intuition and take radical action. I left my corporate job with great pay and full benefits and decided to dive into the wellness industry. It also forced me to face all my fears and limited beliefs. I leaned on my Reiki teacher and sisters, on coaches and other wellness practitioners to move through them and now I am feeling the most free and aligned I’ve felt in my life.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Through Easential Healing I help bring ease and clarity to people who are struggling with long-term depression, anxiety, hopelessness, confusion, grief or they feel like they can’t pinpoint what’s wrong with them. I help patients mainly through one-on-one Reiki Therapy sessions where we incorporate psycho-emotional-somatic practices I acquired in my Master’s program and my Reiki teacher to help move through emotions held in the body.
Sessions can be silent Usui Reiki or have active emotional processing and healing where you participate in gently becoming aware of the thoughts and emotions that come up through the session. We incorporate techniques like inner child work, breathwork, regressions, visualization, and somatic mindfulness.
I also offer Access Bars, an energy therapy involving lightly touching 32 points on the head to release electromagnetic charge associated with thoughts, beliefs, considerations, and emotions. Resets the mind, opening up to a fulfilling life.
Our philosophy is based in approaching our inner world and healing journey with compassion and curiosity. We take shame and guilt out of the way during each session and we create a space for you to authentically be yourself and be true to yourself.
Patients will experience radical positive effect in the first 3-5 sessions and access a new sense of ease and trust within themselves, sometimes for the first time in years.
Healing is a long-term journey but it doesn’t have to be done alone. I am here to shine a light to patient’s inner wisdom and capacity to heal themselves.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was born and raised in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Growing up I had a wonderful childhood that allowed me to live fully in a world of imagination. I would allow myself to explore and express my creativity. I would do this through sports, singing, and dancing while enjoying wonderful friendships. I love to laugh and have fun!
