Hi Parker, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Thank you for having me! I’m originally from Bellevue, Washington, and recently moved to San Diego to begin my junior year at Point Loma Nazarene University. I founded No Touchlines Coaching with a single goal: to provide the most affordable, high-quality soccer training in San Diego. I draw from my experience as an NCAA D2 athlete and as the Lead ECNL/RL Boys Goalkeeper Coach under Legends FC. Each session is tailored to the player’s needs and skill level, ensuring individual growth as a player and a leader on their teams.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting from scratch has certainly come with its challenges. Moving to California in January, I faced an uphill battle finding clients, as many families were already committed to coaches with familiar but overpriced programs.
However, when I learned the extent of what some coaches were charging, I saw a real opportunity to stand out by providing high-quality coaching at the most affordable rate. My primary goal isn’t profit; it’s to give players the training experience I wish I’d had access to. Through consistent marketing and positive word of mouth, I’ve been able to grow my client base organically!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Definitely my work ethic and my purpose for ‘why’ I chose to start coaching are really what distinguish me. Through balancing my studies, collegiate soccer, club coaching at Legends FC, campus resident assistant, and numerous other activities, I’m still highly dedicated to serving these young players and their ambitions of reaching the best of their abilities on and off the field.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
For me, the most important thing is enjoying what I do while staying connected to my ‘why’ while enjoying the work I do. No Touchlines Coaching was created as my way to give back to the nationwide soccer community that has given me so much. Sharing my knowledge and love for the game, while seeing young players’ faces light up as they tell me about their weekend game successes, is genuinely fulfilling. That’s what keeps me motivated week in and week out.
