Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Gallagher
Hi Brian, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey to founding GiGOS is rooted in a passion for engineering and innovation that has shaped my career across biotechnology, automotive advancements, and human-machine interface (HMI) design. Each step along the way has taught me something invaluable about pushing boundaries, solving complex problems, and ultimately, building solutions that impact lives.
I started my career at Illumina, where I was one of the early employees (number 125). At Illumina, I designed robotic automation systems that powered the next wave of gene sequencing technology, including innovations that became the backbone of consumer genetics platforms like 23andMe. The work was thrilling—it combined precision, problem-solving, and the satisfaction of knowing our breakthroughs could change healthcare forever.
From there, I moved into the automotive space, contributing to the early development of electric vehicle components. At Aptera, I worked on battery management systems and power electronics that were foundational to what Tesla later adopted as their core electronics. It was a rare chance to work on technology that wasn’t just ahead of its time but set the stage for a shift in how the world thought about sustainable transportation.
In 2011, I founded Andromeda Interfaces, a company focused on creating innovative HMI solutions for commercial and off-highway vehicles. Starting a company was a completely different challenge—a whirlwind of engineering, business development, and leadership. After 11 years of growth and success, Andromeda Interfaces was acquired in 2022. It was a moment of pride but also a crossroads where I began to think about what was next.
That’s when GiGOS was born. My idea for GiGOS stemmed from seeing how fragmented and inaccessible AI tools were becoming, despite their immense potential to transform lives. Inspired during a trip to Japan and my fascination with GiGO arcades, I envisioned a unified platform that would simplify access to the world’s most powerful AI models. Much like how arcade tokens work across games, GiGOS gives users a seamless way to leverage multiple AI tools without the hassle of navigating multiple platforms.
Outside of work, I’m an avid kitesurfer and love chasing the wind in places like Maui, Hood River, and Long Beach. Kitesurfing isn’t just a hobby for me; it’s a reset button, a way to reconnect and stay grounded while chasing ambitious goals.
Now, as the founder, and CEO of GiGOS, I’m leading a team to revolutionize how people access and use AI. My goal is to make AI fun, and globally impactful, so users everywhere can tap into its potential—whether for work, creativity, or simply curiosity. It’s a journey I’m incredibly passionate about, and I’m just getting started.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s never been a smooth road, but I believe the struggles along the way have been some of the most defining moments of my journey. As a daily reminder, I wear a saying on my wrist: “It’s never easy; I just thought it would be.” This resonates deeply because it reflects every stage of my life—from school to career, especially in my ventures.
When we started Andromeda Interfaces, we were naive engineers. We genuinely believed the adage: “If you build it, they will come.” It sounded simple enough, but reality taught us otherwise. The first few years were incredibly challenging as we struggled to find our target customers and understand how to position our products. We poured our energy into building amazing technology but didn’t fully grasp how critical it was to align our offerings with real market needs.
That lesson—finding product-market fit before trying to scale—has stayed with me ever since. It’s a principle I carry into every new venture, including GiGOS. Building a business involves much more than great ideas and technical execution. It’s about listening, adapting, and finding where your vision truly connects with the people you aim to serve.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
GiGOS is a unified AI platform that blends fun and functionality, making artificial intelligence more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We’re here to simplify the world of AI while creating a playful, intuitive experience for our users. Whether you’re a business exploring AI, a developer experimenting with various models, or an enthusiast curious about what AI can do, GiGoS is designed to meet your needs engaging and hassle-free.
What sets us apart is our commitment to making AI fun and useful. GiGOS isn’t just a tool—it’s an interactive experience. Our standout feature, BattleMode, lets AI models debate and compete over a topic or problem, bringing an exciting and dynamic way to explore the best AI solutions. It’s not just about comparing responses; it’s about making the process engaging and empowering.
At GiGoS, AI should be approachable, easy to use, and tailored to your needs. We’re proud of how our platform encourages exploration, creativity, and innovation without feeling overwhelming. Whether you’re solving real-world challenges or just having fun seeing what AI can do, GiGOS is here to make the experience seamless and enjoyable.
We want your readers to know GiGOS is more than a platform—it’s a playground for AI exploration. Our mission is to demystify AI and make it accessible to everyone, turning what can seem complex into something exciting, intuitive, and impactful.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is building meaningful connections—whether between people, ideas, or technologies—and creating experiences that inspire and empower others. Throughout my career, I’ve been driven by a passion for innovation and a desire to solve real-world problems, but at the core, it’s always been about making a positive impact on the lives of others.
This belief shapes everything I do, from my early days designing robotic systems at Illumina to building human-machine interfaces with Andromeda Interfaces and now with GiGoS. With GiGoS, we focus on removing barriers to AI access and making it an enjoyable, useful, and transformative experience for everyone. I believe technology should work for people, not the other way around.
I also value resilience and learning from the journey. One of my guiding reminders is a saying I wear on my wrist: “It’s never easy; I just thought it would be.” It resonates with my experiences, whether struggling to find a product-market fit at Andromeda or navigating the emotional rollercoaster of launching and scaling ventures. It reminds me that the challenges make the successes meaningful and worth pursuing.
Finally, living fully and finding joy in the process matters deeply to me. Whether chasing wind while kitesurfing, traveling to Japan or Maui, or collaborating with like-minded individuals, I believe in balancing work with passion. This mindset keeps me grounded, energized, and ready to tackle whatever comes next. At the heart of it all is the belief that we grow, connect, and thrive when we focus on creating value for others while staying true to ourselves.
