Today we’d like to introduce you to Ummi Clark
Hi Ummi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
These chapters began with my mother. In 2016 while caring for my mother, a natural healer who inspired me with her dedication to helping others. After her passing in 2019 and through the challenges of COVID-19, I discovered the transformative power of mindfulness while helping my young daughter navigate these uncertain times.
This personal experience led me to develop a comprehensive mindfulness program, backed by research showing its benefits for children dealing with ADHD, anxiety, and emotional challenges, as well as its potential in preventing early-onset Alzheimer’s.
Since 2022, I’ve successfully implemented this program with two San Diego Middle schools and one Elementary school. Recently I’ve collaborated with the Girl Scouts Association on a wellness camp. The positive response has been overwhelming, confirming the growing need for these essential life skills in our youth.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been smooth, yet there has been a lot of self-exploration which is required to help others. During this whole process, I was going through a divorce while helping my mom deal with some major health issues.
At this time, in 2024 while continuing to grow I have an elderly father I’m continuing to help out as best I can while running my businesses and raising my family while obtaining a long-distance relationship with my fiance.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Kabsue started with my mom. She always desired to have a family business, so I made a promise to get a business started to have with our family; a legacy. My nephews have already helped by creating the logo as well as making a video to help me get the ball rolling.
This business is based on Cognitive-based Awareness therapies that gently integrate some MBSR principles and is dedicated to teaching children, young adults, and families more about how to be more emotionally aware. Once the person decides to dive deeper into oneself, they will begin breaking generational traumatic cycles using these tools.
This business is tailored to each individual person. There is no one-size-fits-all because everyone is different and requires different tools so they can evolve to become the person they desire to be.
I feel I’m known for being genuine while helping people grow plus I tend to leave a mark so that they remember me even if they are not ready to do the work. I’m here patiently waiting for them when they are ready to make that shift & change their lives.
I’m most proud of my family plus being able to share this gift!
My services can be facilitated in either group sessions or individual sessions. It is a commitment to yourself, yet I ensure to allow flexibility to have time for processing your findings while practicing these tools. Normally, the sessions are for 6 weeks, however, with time for processing what comes up it is a process and I ask that you be patient with yourself and the process.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
While I’m active on social media and check my emails regularly, I really enjoy having personal conversations over the phone. It helps me better understand your needs and provide more personalized attention.
For the quickest response, people can call or send a text. At this time my website is under construction, so the best way is to send a quick text or call.
