Community Highlights: Meet Sasha Faust of Enchanted Mind

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sasha Faust

Hi Sasha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story feels like a page plucked from a novel, written with love, loss, and an unshakable calling. It all began when I was a sophomore in high school and stepped into my very first psychology class. It was as if the universe whispered in my ear, “This is where your heart belongs.” I fell in love with the study of the mind and the endless intricacies of the human spirit.

But it wasn’t until I was 18 that my path crystallized. I lost a dear friend, Walter Aubin, someone who shaped my world in a never-ending way, to suicide. That loss, while devastating, became my North Star. I made a promise to myself—and to Walter—to dedicate my life to honoring his memory by helping others find hope, healing, and their own inner light. To this day, his presence serves as an anchor, and a beacon of light.

Fast forward to October 2023, and I opened my private practice, where I provide psychological services, as well as reiki energy healing. Every day since has felt like pure magic! To sit with another soul, to hold space for their pain and celebrate their triumphs—it’s nothing short of sacred. Therapy, to me, is alchemy: taking the raw, messy materials of life and transforming them into something golden and beautiful.

I got to where I am today by following the whispers of my soul, by trusting in the calling that has never wavered, and by holding an unwavering reverence for the beauty of this work. Helping others heal is not just my career—it’s my heart’s song, my purpose, and my deepest joy!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth is definitely not the word I’d use to describe this road—it’s been a winding, uphill path, full of twists, detours, and moments when I wasn’t sure I could keep going. But in every challenge, there’s been growth, and in every obstacle, a deeper understanding of why I do this work.

My journey to becoming a psychologist and healer has been shaped by my own history of quite extensive and severe trauma. Mentally, physically, spiritually—I’ve faced struggles that have tested every single part of me. There were days when I questioned everything: whether I could graduate, whether I had what it took to open my own practice, whether I was worthy of living the life I dreamed of, whether I could keep going for one more day. But what I’ve learned through it all is this: even when you can’t see the path forward, sometimes your soul just knows the way.

Pursuing this career has been both healing and deeply activating. To walk alongside others in their pain is a privilege, but it’s also a mirror—reflecting back the parts of yourself that need care and compassion, too. There were moments when my own wounds felt too big, too raw, and I wondered if I could keep showing up. But every single time, something inside me whispered, Keep going. This is your purpose. You were made for this.

It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. My loved ones, my incredible therapist, my mentors, and my pets (shoutout to Lovie and Cali!) held me when I couldn’t hold myself. They were there in the moments when hope felt gone, reminding me of the beauty in unconditional love (which, hey, we ALL deserve)!

I’ve come to see the struggles as sacred. A right of passage to a deeper way of being. They’ve taught me resilience, synchronicity, and the power of connection. They’ve shown me that healing isn’t about erasing the scars—it’s about learning to honor them, to see them as reminders of how far you’ve come.

I share this because I want anyone reading this to know: it’s OKAY to feel broken sometimes. It’s okay to doubt yourself. It’s okay to wonder if you’re worthy of your dreams. But please, if you hear anything from me, let it be this: You are WORTHY. You are capable. And you are so much stronger than you think.

When I look back at my journey, I don’t just see the challenges—I see the people who lifted me up, the moments of grace, and the unwavering pull of purpose. If you’re in a hard season, know that it’s not the end of your story. Your dreams are still waiting for you, and even the smallest step forward can lead to a path you never imagined.

Be patient with yourself. Be kind to yourself. And never stop believing in the magic that’s inside you.

As you know, we’re big fans of Enchanted Mind. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Enchanted Mind is a sanctuary where healing, growth, and transformation meet magic, science, and soul. As a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Enchanted Mind, I’ve created a space where clients can illuminate their paths to healing, awaken their inner magic, and reconnect with their dreams.

At Enchanted Mind, I provide individual therapy, group therapy, and Reiki energy healing, blending psychology with mysticism to meet each client’s unique needs and aspirations. I specialize in a variety of areas, including substance use disorders, grief, sexual trauma, intimate partner violence, family conflict, depression, anxiety, spirituality, and more. I’m also trained in ketamine-assisted therapy, offering an innovative and compassionate approach to complex trauma and mental health challenges.

I also offer a group therapy program, Enchanted Resilience: A Sacred Circle of Healing. Designed for survivors of abuse and trauma, this group fosters connection, understanding, and empowerment in a safe and supportive environment. Together, we navigate the complexities of healing and thrive as a community.

For those drawn to energy work, I offer Reiki energy healing, which focuses on restoring balance, releasing blockages, and igniting empowerment. These sessions are an invitation to transform, align with your highest potential, and embrace your inner magic.

Beyond direct client care, I am passionate about education, advocacy, and professional collaboration. I offer training for individuals, groups, and organizations, equipping others with tools for growth, healing, and understanding. I also provide consultation services for fellow professionals, including a peer consultation group where licensed providers gather to celebrate and explore the journey of professional growth and connection. Together, we share experiences, seek guidance, and offer support in an atmosphere of safety and open dialogue, nurturing both the soul and the professional spirit.

Additionally, I am deeply interested in contributing to spiritual and healing spaces through retreats and expert panels. These opportunities allow me to share my passion and insights with wider audiences, fostering meaningful conversations and creating ripple effects of healing and inspiration.

What sets Enchanted Mind apart is the authenticity and love I bring to every interaction. My practice is my soul’s calling. Every session, training, and healing is infused with my belief in the magic of human connection and transformation.

I want Enchanted Mind to be a place where people feel their absolute most free—free to explore their deepest truths, free to heal without judgment, and free to dream without limits. Freedom, to me, is the essence of empowerment, and I am here to remind everyone that they have the power to break free from what no longer serves them, embrace their authentic selves, and soar toward the life they’ve always imagined!

I want every person who encounters Enchanted Mind to feel inspired, empowered, and seen. My mission is to create a sanctuary of unconditional acceptance and possibility where people can safely explore their most authentic selves and realize their dreams—no matter how big or small.

At the heart of Enchanted Mind lies a truth I hold sacred: healing is possible, growth is attainable, and the magic you seek is already within you.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
If you’re just starting out on your journey, first and foremost: You can do this!! You’ve got this. You are amazing. Simply by being you, you already offer something unique, incredible, and profoundly worthwhile. Never underestimate the power and value you bring to the world. Believe in yourself and trust that your path is unfolding exactly as it should.

One of the most important things I wish I had known when I was beginning is that your dreams are possible. Even if no one else understands them—trust me, I’ve been there—they are still valid, real, and achievable. Your vision doesn’t need the approval of others; it needs your belief, your trust, and your commitment. Stay connected to that inner fire, that deep calling, and keep moving forward.

There will be people who don’t see your light, who may try to put you in a box or tell you your dreams are too big, too unconventional, or simply “impossible.” Don’t listen to them. You weren’t put on this earth to shrink yourself to fit someone else’s mold. You’re here to shine in your own unique way, to bring your dreams to life, and to create something only you can.

Surround yourself with people who uplift you—those who see your brilliance, who encourage your vision, and who inspire you to reach even higher. There are so many people out there who want to help, who believe in what you’re creating, and who will walk alongside you on this journey. And if you feel like no one is in your corner, let me be the first to say: I believe in you!!

Remember that every “no” you encounter isn’t the end—it’s just a step on the way to your “yes.” Sometimes, it only takes one “yes” to change everything. Keep believing. You are worthy of your dreams, and those dreams were planted in your heart for a reason. They are yours to nurture, to pursue, and to bring into reality.

Lastly, be kind to yourself. Build an unconditional, loving relationship with the person you see in the mirror. Treat yourself as you would a dear friend—with compassion, encouragement, and unwavering support. When the road gets tough, lean on those who inspire you or are doing what you aspire to do. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or guidance.

Your journey won’t look like anyone else’s—and that’s the magic of it. Trust in your purpose and know that the world needs exactly what you have to offer.

You are capable of so much more than you realize. You are powerful, you are worthy, and your dreams are not only possible—they are waiting for you.
