Rising Stars: Meet Andrea Saucerman of Glendale, Ca.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Saucerman

Hi Andrea, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in the vibrant, bustling city of Los Angeles, I was surrounded by the hum of creativity, ambition, and the inevitable pressures that came with it. Yet, amidst the urban chaos, my family held a secret that was as grounding as it was transformative: Reiki. For over two decades, Reiki had been a quiet but powerful presence in my life, introduced by my aunt, who was the first to embrace this ancient healing practice.

I remember being curious as a teenager, watching my aunt perform Reiki on myself and family. It wasn’t just the soft, intentional movements of her hands or the peaceful expressions on the faces of those she treated; it was the palpable shift in energy that left an impression on me. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what she was doing, but I could feel the calm and balance it brought.

Years later, after navigating the challenges of young adulthood, I found myself increasingly drawn to the practice. A series of car accidents left me in chronic pain, forcing me to reevaluate my approach to healing and self-care. At the same time, my work in the school district exposed me to the emotional toll that stress and anxiety took on students and staff alike.
After that, my years in the hair, makeup, and modeling industry revealed how widespread stress, depression, and anxiety were in environments driven by high expectations and constant scrutiny.

The weight of modern life in the city—with its unrelenting pace, expectations, and the isolation that can sometimes creep in even in a city full of people—began to take a toll.

Stress, depression, and anxiety weren’t just abstract concepts; they were real, pervasive issues affecting the people I loved and the community around me. That’s when I decided to lean into the wisdom my family had nurtured for years.

In my mid-twenties, I began my journey as a Reiki practitioner. The learning process felt less like acquiring a new skill and more like reconnecting with a part of myself that had always been there, waiting to be awakened.
The more I practiced, the more I understood how energy flows within and around us, and how intentional care could create profound shifts. I started by offering Reiki sessions to friends and family, which quickly expanded to acquaintances and referrals. The feedback was humbling: people felt lighter, more centered, and more equipped to face their challenges after our sessions.

But my mission didn’t stop there. I wanted to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual toll that life’s pressures were taking on community around me. Combining my knowledge of Reiki with my love for wellness, I began offering bodywork that integrated intentional energy healing with practical tools for balance and resilience. I also became a wellness facilitator at rehabilitation centers all over the city, working with individuals on their paths to recovery. Through this work, I created safe spaces for people to explore their inner worlds, release burdens, and cultivate self-compassion.

Los Angeles, with its endless opportunities and demands, is a place where many seek connection and healing. I saw this not as a challenge but as a calling. My practice became a bridge between the grounding energy of Reiki and the dynamic spirit of my city. Through my work, I strive to remind people that even in the midst of chaos, they can find peace and empowerment within themselves.

Now, as I reflect on this journey, sharing Reiki-infused bodywork and wellness facilitation has become more than a profession; it’s my way of contributing to a collective healing, one session, one workshop, and one connection at a time.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Adding to these struggles shared in my previous story, was the confusion and uncertainty of choosing a non-traditional career and life path. While many of my peers followed conventional routes, I felt called to something different, something deeply personal yet difficult to explain to others. The doubt and questions from those around me sometimes made me question myself. Could I truly make a living doing something so unconventional? Was I ready to embrace the risk of forging my own path, even when the road ahead felt unclear?

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in Reiki-infused bodywork and wellness facilitation, combining energy healing with practical tools for emotional and physical balance. My practice incorporates a variety of techniques, including breathwork, somatic stretching, and sound bowl healing, to create a holistic approach to wellness. These tools, paired with Reiki, help clients release tension, reconnect with their bodies, and rediscover inner harmony. In addition to individualized sessions, I serve as a wellness facilitator at rehabilitation centers across Los Angeles, supporting individuals on their recovery journeys and guiding them toward self-compassion and resilience.

What sets me apart is the integration of my diverse experiences—from navigating chronic pain due to car accidents to my time working in the school district, as well as years spent in the hair, makeup, and modeling industries. These varied paths gave me firsthand insight into the stress, anxiety, and emotional toll that different environments can have on people. This understanding informs my practice, allowing me to approach healing with empathy and adaptability.

I’m most proud of my ability to provide meaningful transformations for my clients. Whether it’s helping someone overcome the weight of stress, guiding them to connect with their breath and body, or using sound healing to realign their energy, witnessing those shifts is deeply rewarding. My work isn’t just about offering relief; it’s about helping people reconnect with themselves and find their inner strength.

What truly distinguishes my approach is the grounding energy of Reiki combined with the powerful tools of breathwork, somatic stretching, and sound bowl healing—all tailored to meet the needs of each individual. I strive to bring balance to this fast-paced city, offering healing spaces that remind people they can find peace and empowerment even in the midst of chaos.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Books like You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay , The Kybalion: Hermetic Philosophy have been a cornerstone for understanding universal principles that guide energy and consciousness. Neville Goddard’s teachings, especially on the power of imagination and manifestation, have inspired me to align my thoughts and emotions with the life I want to create. Of course, resources focused on Reiki energy healing, such as The Art of Reiki and Reiki for Life, have deepened my understanding of the practice and its applications for both self-healing and supporting others.

In addition to books, I find value in apps like Insight Timer, which provides guided meditations and sound healing practices. Podcasts like Know thyself and The Diary of a Ceo are excellent for exploring topics around energy work, manifestation, and personal growth.

These resources help me stay grounded, inspired, and continuously evolving in my personal and professional life. They serve as reminders of the limitless potential within us and the importance of maintaining a balance between mind, body, and spirit.
