Meet Allie Kurpieski of Menifee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allie Kurpieski

Hi Allie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Allie. I am a mother, registered nurse, and I moved to Menifee in 2023. When I moved, one of the first things I did was join some local Facebook groups to get connected, and tried to find some Menifee-specific Instagram pages geared towards families. After searching for something that fit that criteria, I noticed that what I was looking for did not exist. I took it upon myself in February of 2024 to create exactly what I was looking for. Since then, I have amassed over 4,000 followers, most being local Moms just like myself. I have made it my mission to promote family-friendly activities, support small & local businesses, and use my platform as a vector for local information, community resources, and so much more!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would say that the most challenging thing I have struggled with is negative response from certain postings, such as when I called for our local school district to close the schools due to the severe air quality. I keep things friendly, positive, and never share anything taboo or political, so dealing with negative responses was hard for me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Behind the Menifee Mom platform, I am a registered nurse certified in medical-surgical registered nursing in the general surgery department at Loma Linda- Murrieta. I have been a nurse for four years and while I love my job, the majority of my time is spent engaging with my community as my primary passion. Regardless of my professional title, whether I am inside or outside of the hospital, my goal is always to connect with people and do my small part in making the world a little kinder.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
When I first started, I wasn’t exactly sure what I was getting into. I followed other community influencers, such as Temecula Mama, who quickly became a mentor of mine, and saw what she was using her platform for, and after some time, got myself into a routine. I was regularly sharing local content, like a new park, weekend events, special events, ways to give back to the community, local eats, and more! I found that the more organic my content, the more positive response I received. Sometimes my posts and reels that I spent the least amount of time working on ended up performing the best! There is definitely an art to “keeping it simple.”
