Hi Brenda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I never could’ve imagined that the simple idea of “follow your dreams” would become the foundation of something so deeply meaningful. What started as just a hope in my heart has taken me on a journey I never saw coming.
My passion for the beauty industry began when I was a young girl. I’ve always dreamed of creating art, and what started with drawing eventually led me to discover my love for beauty.
I’ve done it all—makeup, facials, body treatments, and hair. But everything changed when I discovered the lash industry. It was calming and unlike any other service I had offered before.
What truly drew me in was the instant gratification—watching clients open their eyes and immediately see a transformation. That moment changed the direction of my career.
Every single client shared one thing in common: the look of amazement when they saw their results. Lashes are one of the few services that don’t require multiple sessions or time to see progress—the results are instant. And knowing my clients felt complete and confident in just one appointment made me feel like I had truly done my job.
I’ve been doing lashes since 2017, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that the journey never truly stops—there’s always more to grow, more to learn. But one thing is absolutely certain: I couldn’t have done any of this alone.
My heart is overflowing with gratitude—for God’s guidance and grace, and for the incredible support system that has carried me through every high and low. To my family, my friends, my colleagues, and my beautiful clients—thank you. You’ve believed in me, lifted me, and walked this path with me. I’m endlessly thankful.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely expanding my business. Every step I took—every setback that shook me, every breakthrough that lit a fire in me—taught me something I didn’t know I needed. And if I’ve learned anything, it’s that true growth often blooms from the most unexpected, even painful, places. It’s been messy, beautiful, and absolutely worth it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a beauty dual licensed professional, Esthetician and Cosmetologist.
I am also a mentor/educator for beauty professionals focusing on the lash industry.
I have a beauty studio called “Bluxi Lash Bar” and a beauty academy called “Bluxi Beauty Academy.”
We offer lash extensions, lash lifts, brow services and educational courses to my students. Providing an out going mentorship program until the students masters the skill.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I truly believe that luck wasn’t a part of it. Instead of luck, I believe in hard work and dedication, staying focus and surrendering myself with a support group, that is what has helped me keep going.
