Hi Joe , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Yerba Mate has always been a part of my culture. I never was a coffee drinker, so yerba mate has been there not only as my supplement for caffeine, but as a tradition i hold near and dear to my heart. Yerba Mate is not just a drink, it’s a way of life. It’s a part of a beautiful South American culture that creates bonds with anyone who shares a drink together. I’m honored to be a small part of this growing and amazing community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When a community of mate lovers and enthusiasts welcome you with open arms, the road is paved with love! It says less about me and more about the mate community as a whole. Every single person deserves their recognition.

I am a Yerba Mate enthusiast who shares his passion for mate on social media. I travel around the world with it and try to grow my brand (El Gringo Matero) by networking through Instagram and in my community. I’m most proud of the connections and relationships I’ve made through mate. I consider everyone I talk to online and in person a dear friend.
