Today we’d like to introduce you to David Allen.
Hi David, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started acpuncture school at the age of 23 and immediately loved it. I had the good fortune to meet someone who would become my mentor in both acupuncture and well as my buddhist studies. Moreso he was an acupuncturist who specialized in pediatric acupuncture, and I ended up following in those footsteps. I have been practicing for 18 years, treating both adults and children, though I am most known for treating children.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The only struggles have been in moving from my original clinic, and having to rebuild my practice from scratch. It takes time to do that, and to establish yourself within a community.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
cetainly it was difficult to see that difficulties that children had with being stuck in the house for so long. Especially when there was no clear timeframe for when it would end. We saw a lot of anxiety, depression, and frustration issues coming out during that time.
