Hi Sean, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After relocating from Houston Texas to Oceanside California in 2003. My self a Gulf War VET and my wife Cammal We noticed a lack of diversity in the food choices at the local eateries and decided to introduce Oceanside to a taste of the caribbean. My wife and I started One Love Island Cuisine in 2010 as a pop up. We did events with MCCS camp Pendleton, micro breweries in North County, Aztec Brewing Company,Belching Beavers, Mother Earth etc, etc… and Main street Oceanside Sunset Market Oceanside. In 2015 We established One Love Island Cuisine our store front location @ 4225 Oceanside Blvd St K 92056.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In 2020 when the pandemic struck. We had to find a way to survive by utilizing online platforms with their contactless delivery systems.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
