Hi Nasha & Kyle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2010, Kyle and I started North County Tile & Stone. We built a foundation of hard work and strong values. What started as a family trade has grown into a passion for creativity, connection, and community with Builders, Designs and Homeowners. Since 2010 we have expanded our lines offering wood flooring, counter tops , decorative tiles & one of a kind pieces that are made locally . Our goal in design is simple, longevity. It’s less about the trends & more about adding materials to our homes that have a long lasting impact. Our team is able to achieve this goal by offering materials often sourced from the best factories and artisans passionate about the same thing . Why stop at materials ?! In 2015 we expanded the design showroom to offer rugs, pottery , pillows and more. This allows clients to feel the whole experience of home & what it should be. Design is a feeling. We are all about creating that feeling right when you come in whether updating a backsplash, remodeling or building from the ground up. The shop has been a true gift to us, our team & all the clients that have trusted us along the way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In business we always say it is either feast or famine , wink face. Everyday is an opportunity for adventure & we are ready for it !

Our doors are open for walk-ins, where we offer complimentary assistance with material coordination, layout suggestions, and initial project consultations. Explore our library, where you can check out samples to help confirm the right selections for your space. Bring a client and present in a relaxed, friendly environment—or invite us to join in and collaborate directly. Want a more curated experience? Share your design inspiration and project details ahead of time to book a $150 prepulled appointment. We’ll handpick materials tailored specifically to your needs. When you arrive, your beautifully presented samples will be ready to take home so you can see how they feel in your own environment. Let us handle the details while you focus on bringing your vision to life. Prefer a more personal approach? Let us bring the design experience to you! Our $300 on-site service includes a home visit where we assess your space and style firsthand. Then, enjoy a relaxed, one-hour follow-up at our design center, where we’ll walk you through thoughtfully selected materials to make the design process easy, fun, and truly inspiring. From casual browsing to full-service support, we’re here to help you create something beautiful.
What are your plans for the future?
We are genuinely optimistic about the future. The challenges of the past few years have tested us all, but they’ve also brought resilience, innovation, and renewed purpose. Good things often emerge under pressure—and we believe our industry, and the broader economy, will come out stronger because of it. There’s a growing energy and enthusiasm returning to the physical, in-person experience. Clients are excited again about brick-and-mortar spaces—about touching materials, engaging with design in real life, and investing in the environments where they live and work. We’re seeing people lean back into the value of curated spaces and tangible experiences. That momentum is inspiring, and it reaffirms why we do what we do.
