Today we’d like to introduce you to Bellafiore.
Hi Bellafiore, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We are two brother that started playing guitar and playing shows when we were 9 and 11. We grew up busking on all the beach boardwalks in San Diego and Catalina island and now started a band and bring as many of our friends to perform on stage with us as possible!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Well when it comes to recording, it’s just me and my brother in the studio so that can be very challenging. Alex does all of the engineering and he single handily does the job that would take a whole team of people to do in a commercial studio. He is definitely the brains behind our operation.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are two brothers (Danny and Alex). Danny plays guitar and sings and Alex essentially plays every other instrument. Alex plays guitar, saxophone and keys at our shows but he really does it all and can play any instrument. What sets us apart is the soulfulness of our vocals and the party atmosphere at our shows.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Our music is very genuine and while we try not to take it to seriously, at the end of the day we really do take is serious. We can’t help it! Every second of every song is hyper analyzed and we are perfectionists. If we aren’t completely stoked on a song, we won’t release it, even after we’ve spent a year on it in the studio. It has to be perfect. The key to our success is our passion for our band. It’s the first thing I think about on the morning and it’s what keeps me up at night.
