We recently had the chance to connect with Bria “Slim” Miller and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Bria “Slim”, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me is waking up before the birds to get my day started. Breakfast work and then enjoying my son for the remainder of the day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Bria but everyone refers to me as Slim. I am a licensed esthetician with a speciality of luxury makeup and film. I bring something different to the set or table by being not only professional but very knowledgeable and kind. I bring the looks and the vibe that may be missing. My goal is to make everyone around me feel their best and have a good laugh. Atleast once.
I am working on more creative content. I’m interested in working in the indie film and even some of Hollywood. Big things to come.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Me. I learned the true meaning of “self love” at an early age so nobody could ever tell me who I am when I know who I am.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has taught me grace. Everyone may not wear what they’re going through so extend grace. To yourself and to others. To suffer a great deal of pain, only means there will be an immense amount of joy to follow after. Nothing is done for nothing.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would say that my son or my happiness means most to me. I enjoy people that have good intentions and a good heart. Being a good person means most to me as well.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
A good heart. Purity. Character. Integrity and Love.
