Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Estephania Baez.
Hi Claudia Estephania, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Estephania Baez, is a news reporter and news anchor at the border region in San Diego- Tijuana.
She was born in San Diego, but grew up in Tijuana.
She has been in television for almost 16 years, studied a bachelor’s degree in Communications at Ibero University in Tijuana, and as an exchange student in Guadalaara, Jalisco.
She also studied Creative Writing in la Escuela de Escritores in Madrid, Spain and also Creative Writing at the Escuela de Escritores in Mexico City, she has a degree in Theater by the A.N.D.A.
She started as a sports reporter, entertainment reporter and finally found her biggest passion in delivering the news, she has won ten Emmy Awards for her role in news anchoring, news reporting and writing, also an “Excellence in Journalism” Award by the San Diego Press Club for her production titled “I am a woman and I am an inspiration” a video that inspires women to persue their dreams.
She is author of two books, a teenager book titled “Huerfanos de Amor” and a women book titled “Ser Mujer”.
She has been a binational reporter for over fifteen years now, she worked also as a correspondent for Hispan Tv, a station based in Iran. Today she anchors the 2:00 pm newscast in Televisa Nmas and has also anchored the international Televisa Network News in Mexico City. Has worked in several Tv stations such as ESPN, Uniradio, Tv Tijuana, Televisa, Telemundo, Tv Azteca, also collaborated with local newspapers and magazines like La Prensa San Diego, Nylon Magazine, Warp Magazine.
Estephania, 37 has covered presidential debates, in 2024 she covered Donald Trump and Kamala Harris debate in Philadelphia, has also moderated three mayoral candidate debates in Baja California.
Her job as a news reporter has been filled with immigration reports in San Diego, Tijuana and Texas, her coverage also includes feminist movements in Tijuana and Mexico.
She is also a wife to her husband Oliver, they been together for nine years and married for five, Oliver is a very recognized wind engineer in the U.S. Estephania is also a mother to her three year old daughter Juliette Olivier, and she is now expecting her second child named Oliver Santino, he is arriving this december.
Her favorite book, Anne of green gables, favorite movie, Back to the Future, favorite series, Friends, favorite color, pink, favorite food cheese and french fries, favorite drink, white wine, she loves to write, swim, drink coffee, her favorite team, The Green Bay Packers and her favorite activity is to gather with her family and friends.
She describes herself as a feminist, a girly girl, a dreamer and doer, and a responsible achiever.
