ElezD of San Diego on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to ElezD. Check out our conversation below.

Hi ElezD, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
One recent moment that made me feel proud was when I recently played at EQ Nightclub in San Diego. I received a giant applause and cheers when I ended my set and it was a moment of humility and pride. I’ve been working hard on my music for over a decade and now I’m starting to see the fruits of my labor.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m ElezD, a techno producer and DJ based in San Diego. I’ve been producing and performing for over a decade, with releases that have charted #1 on Beatport and streamed over 200,000 times on Spotify. My sound blends hypnotic, driving grooves with emotional intensity — designed for late-night dance floors and sunrise moments.

Beyond my own music, I’m building a creative hub through my label F/4 Records, focused on developing a tight-knit community of artists who grow together and push the underground scene forward. Right now, I’m working on new projects aimed at connecting my sound with major labels, while also expanding into festivals and immersive live experiences.

At its core, my brand is about authenticity, connection, and energy — creating a space where people can lose themselves in sound and feel something real.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I believe my mother saw me clearly before I could see myself. Mothers have an intrinsic nature of knowing who their children are on the deepest levels.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering and pain have ways of teaching you not to do something again if it hurts you. Success doesn’t.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I believe all my friends, not just the close ones would say Respect and Loyalty matter the most to me. I have a maximum of 5 people I can count on.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If immortality were real, what would you build?
It is real. We are building it now.
