Hi Stevie, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
My days begin with a cup of coffee next to my amazing wife Shannon as we discuss what the day has planned for us, like what tattoos I need to prepare for or what piercings she’s excited to do.Working with your best friend and wife is pretty freaking amazing

I’m Stevie O’Dell an Owner and Tattooer at Grand Legacy Tattoo located in the heart of Escondido,Ca
along with my wife Shannon O’Dell (our piercer) and my good buddy Michael Taylor also a killer Tattooer !!
We do Custom Tattooing from bold color to fineline black and gray we got an artist for all style of tattooing
We provide Professional & Quality Piercings using only the highest industry standard implant grade Titanium Jewelry with Gold opinions on request
We strive to give our clients the quality and experience they deserve the minute they walk in to our shop.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
28 years ago I made a decision to do what I love to do and that is creating art either on canvas or on skin. lol I knew then ,that tattooing was my calling and only I can make that decision when the opportunity was given.
I ran with it and never turned back sometimes in life you have to make decisions on your own and do for you and hold on and enjoy the ride and surround yourself with others with the same mindset to get where you need to be.
To me it takes self will and power to continue the journey
Today I’m am grateful for the path I’ve chosen it’s definitely not for everyone it’s a commitment
Tattooing is a lifestyle not a hobby .
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
I do remember the time someone listened to me and that person was myself. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if I didn’t

Love , Loyalty, Honesty most important is Respect and Family
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retire today my customers will still see me I will still be at the shop greeting them walking in the door and telling stories snd controlling the traffic lol
I told my wife Shannon that I will not stop tattooing until the machine falls out of my hand and if it does, I’ll pick it up and try again lol
When I can’t tattoo anymore that’s what they will miss
They would always tell me do it Stevie’s way put your spin on it , they would miss the laughter and the good times and killer tattoos. I would miss that the most to be honest !!
