Today we’d like to introduce you to Your Design Pals.
Hi Your Design Pals, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We’re a team of three graphic designers, Parker, Louis, and Bryan. We met in the San Diego City College Graphic Design program and quickly discovered how well we worked together. After graduating in 2020, we stayed connected, often collaborating on freelance projects that naturally evolved into our design collective, Your Design Pals.
Over the years, we’ve teamed up on projects for clients like North Park Main Street, Rancho Santa Fe Association, Newtopia Cyder, and Dodson Consulting. Working collaboratively has allowed us to combine our individual strengths and create more thoughtful, elevated design solutions.
Each of us brings something unique to the table. Parker brings her experience in marketing and UX perspective to create intentional solutions that blend creativity with strategy. Louis provides a deep sense of craft, attention to detail, and storytelling honed from the visual and culinary arts, and years working for a branding agency. And Bryan contributes his technical precision and strong illustration skills from his work with brands like Xbox and Minecraft. Together, we’re all about smart, approachable, and intentional design.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been an adventure, sometimes it’s smooth sailing, others have challenges and learning opportunities. At the start, we had to figure out everything from time and client management, pricing structures, and proposals while balancing our regular jobs. All during a pandemic!
But we always had each other’s backs. One of our biggest advantages has been the partnership itself. Being a team meant we could lean on each other, share perspectives, and stay motivated to grow our business. Every challenge from slow months to growing pains has taught us something valuable that we get to apply to our craft.

Your Design Pals is a San Diego-based creative collective specializing in branding, web design, illustration, and digital storytelling. We help small businesses, nonprofits, and local organizations bring their ideas to life through design that feels fresh, intentional, and human.
What sets us apart is our collaborative process. Each designer brings a different perspective into a project, which means stronger ideas and better results. We’re proud of how adaptable we’ve become whether it’s a business district rebrand, a beer label, or a website for a small business, we treat every project with the same level of care.
Brand-wise, we’re most proud of staying true to our local roots and relationships. We’ve built long-term partnerships with organizations that trust us to evolve their visuals over time.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
There’s something about seeing the excitement of clients when we reveal a design that really speaks to them. Particularly when it’s a new business, we love being able to help people bring their goals and dreams to life and being part of their story as they begin a new adventure.
In our personal lives, we often talk of the joy that our pets give us. We all have four-legged friends that keep us company while we work and keep us in good spirits.
