Jessica, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My mornings are intentional. They set the tone for my day. The first 90 minutes of my day are all about showing up fully for my kids and for my business. I usually wake up around 6 AM, start with a warm glass of water with lemon, and take a few quiet minutes to journal and focus on gratitude. I move my body with Pilates while my daughters, 7 and 12, get ready for school, and we share a lot of love and laughter. A quick walk with our dog, Luna, gives me fresh air and energy.
Balancing self-care, family, and entrepreneurship isn’t always easy, but these moments remind me that I can lead a business and nurture a family at the same time.
It’s my daily reminder that being a mom and being a business owner don’t have to be separate, they fuel each other.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Jessica Cvetic, PA-C, a nationally recognized aesthetic provider, entrepreneur, and international speaker in ethical and regenerative aesthetic medicine. I’m the founder of Citrus Aesthetics, a leading medical spa in San Diego known for its natural results, science-driven treatments, and commitment to integrity and empowerment. My approach centers on education, transparency, and creating a space where every client feels heard, valued, and confident.
From that foundation, I launched Citrus Franchising, the first-to-market solo provider med spa franchise model, giving medical professionals the tools, mentorship, and systems to build ethical, profitable, and independent practices under the trusted Citrus brand. I also founded the Citrus Training Academy, where I mentor providers in advanced clinical technique, business strategy, and patient-centered care, sharing knowledge gained from years of international training with world-renowned experts.
I’m also the creator of the AWQ-10 Psychological Readiness Questionnaire, a protocol now being recognized globally for its role in advancing ethics and safety in aesthetic medicine. I’ve had the privilege of sharing this work as an international speaker at leading conferences including AMWC Monaco and AMWC Bangkok, where I advocate for raising the global standard of care in aesthetics.
Every part of my work, whether treating clients, mentoring providers, or growing a franchise, is built on the same foundation of integrity, education, and empowerment. Through Citrus, my mission is to continue Planting Joy Worldwide, inspiring both patients and providers to lead with compassion, confidence, and purpose.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was the moment I realized I had a choice, and that choice could change everything.
Even as a young woman, I learned that power isn’t given; it’s claimed and earned through courage, integrity, and hard work. One of the most defining moments in my life came years later, when I was fired from my urgent care job after repeatedly reporting a toxic colleague and hostile work environment to my supervisors. I had been trying to protect others and do the right thing, but instead of being supported, I was silenced.
What felt like a loss at the time turned out to be one of my greatest awakenings. That was the moment Citrus Aesthetics was born, from a deep desire to create the kind of environment I had wished for: one built on integrity, empowerment, and ethical leadership. I wanted to build a space where people were heard, respected, and supported, and where doing what is right always comes before doing what is easy.
That experience taught me that true power doesn’t come from titles or approval; it comes from standing up for your values, even when it costs you everything. It was the moment I realized that when you lead with courage and integrity, you don’t just change your own life, you create something that can change the lives of others too.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely. There have been moments when building Citrus Aesthetics felt overwhelming. Juggling the business, my team, and my family all at once made me wonder if I could keep going. But those were the moments that defined me.
I reminded myself why I started: to create a space that empowers clients, supports my team, and sets a new standard in medical aesthetics. Leaning into that purpose, I kept taking one step at a time. That’s when I realized that true resilience isn’t just surviving, it’s rising stronger, leading with intention, and building something that matters, no matter the obstacles.

Yes! What you see publicly is who I truly am! Just with a bit more structure and purpose behind it.
The mission of Citrus Aesthetics was born from my personal values: honesty, empowerment, and a commitment to doing what’s right for people. I don’t believe in separating my “professional” self from my real self. The same person who’s a mom, a friend, and a woman navigating life is the same one leading Citrus and showing up for our clients.
Authenticity isn’t just part of my brand, it’s the foundation of everything I build.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
Many think entrepreneurship is about strategy and numbers alone, but the truth is, it’s about showing up consistently, leading with integrity, and empowering others.
I lived this every day at Citrus. I create a space where clients feel safe and valued, and I set a new standard in medical aesthetics. I understand that the little choices I make as a leader ripple outward: how I support my staff, how I communicate with clients, how I balance growth with ethics. Most people don’t see that real influence comes from showing up, staying true to your values, and being willing to do the hard work behind the scenes. That’s the lesson I carry into every decision, every interaction, and every dream I pursue.
