Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Liz Hahn of San Diego

We recently had the chance to connect with Liz Hahn and have shared our conversation below.

Liz , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
As an internet marketer running an entertainment agency, I spend most of my day in front of screens. I intentionally start my mornings without one. The first 90 minutes are completely screen-free. I pour a cup of coffee and snuggle up on the couch with my husband and our dog to ease into the day. We talk about our goals, our dreams, and what’s ahead.

Then we do something we call Rose, Bud, Thorn:
🌹 Rose – one thing you’re grateful for.
🌿 Bud – something you’re looking forward to.
🩷 Thorn – one area that feels stressful or where you need more support.

We do this every morning to stay grounded, connected, and anchored in gratitude before the busyness begins.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Liz Hahn, the Founder and CEO of Bad Boy Strip. We are a premier bachelorette and private party entertainment agency specializing in custom, themed experiences. With over 30 years in the entertainment industry, I’ve dedicated my career to creating fun, high-energy, and unforgettable events that bring people together in the best way possible through laughter, naughtiness, and connection.

At Bad Boy Strip, we turn ordinary nights into extraordinary memories. From bachelorette parties and birthday celebrations to themed mansion parties and coed holiday events, our roster of top-tier male strippers, charming bartenders, and cheeky cabana boys bring the fantasy to life.

What makes us different is our interactive booking process. When clients reach out, our party booking agents share a curated portfolio of available Bad Boys. Guests can browse and handpick their favorite entertainers, customize the spice level, and select themed costumes, like Sexy Cops, Naughty Firefighters, Cowboy Studs, Kens, or even the iconic Sexy Pizza Delivery Guy. Every event is personalized, polished, and a little bit naughty.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
One of my earliest memories of feeling powerful goes back to the 1990s, when I started my first entertainment business. I was putting myself through college while creating opportunities for my friends by hiring them as bouncers, dancers, DJs, and marketers. I had nothing but a brand concept, a pager, and a list of phone numbers, yet I felt completely in control and capable of making things happen.

Building that business without a website meant I had to hustle the old-fashioned way, which meant networking, forming partnerships, and building trust face-to-face. That collaboration didn’t lessen my sense of power; it amplified it. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about creating something from nothing, leading a team, and watching everyone rise together. That experience taught me early on that true power comes from action, persistence, and believing fiercely in your vision.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I didn’t almost give up. I actually did.

I started my brand to put myself through college, but when I graduated, I felt enormous societal pressure to “get a real job.” I had worked so hard for my degrees, graduating on the Dean’s List, and studying for years. Like everyone else, I thought the next logical step was to enter corporate America. So, I applied for jobs. And that’s when I realized something important: I was completely unemployable.

I kept thinking, Isn’t this what I was supposed to do? But deep down, I knew I already had a career. I just didn’t recognize it as one. Still, I walked away from my brand entirely. I tried to fit into the corporate mold and ended up starting another business instead, this time recruiting mortgage reps in the wholesale account executive space.

Working in the wholesale mortgage industry, I realized something surprising. The mortgage industry wasn’t all that different from the entertainment world. There were the same personalities, the same energy, the same dynamics. There were people who were fun to work with, people who were challenging, moments of success, and moments of frustration. The industry didn’t matter; the human element was the same.

Eventually, I sold that company and returned to my true passion: my Bad Girl brand. This time, I brought everything I’d learned in business, leadership, and sales back with me. I rebuilt it stronger, more structured, and more scalable. I turned it into the million-dollar brand it is today and expanded with Bad Boy Strip, its equally successful counterpart.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m deeply committed to empowering and validating entertainers in the adult entertainment space. This industry is my passion, and my purpose goes far beyond the parties. I want to help entertainers see themselves as entrepreneurs. I teach them how to invest their money, care for their bodies, strengthen their mindset, and show up in the world as confident, grounded individuals.

The adult entertainment world is full of fascinating, complex people, and I choose to operate at a higher vibration within it. My company is built on quality, integrity, and respect. Many of our entertainers are stripping with purpose. They are stripping their way through college, completing double master’s or doctoral degrees, supporting families, and funding their dreams.

I believe when you elevate the people within an industry, you elevate the entire industry itself. That’s a mission I’ll stay devoted to for as long as it takes.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m absolutely doing what I was born to do. I was born to understand people, to see the depths of society, and find ways to empower others. I was born to build, to connect, and to create opportunities through business. My purpose has always been about connection: a customer looking for a dancer, a dancer looking for work—boom, I put them together. That’s my magic. That’s my alchemy.

If I had done what I was told to do, I’d be living someone else’s story. I was told I’d never graduate high school, that college wasn’t for me, and that I should go to trade school. So I did. I became a certified auto mechanic, a cosmetologist, and even a preschool teacher. And while I respect those paths, none of them lit me up. I dropped out of beauty school because I knew I was meant for something bigger.

Today, I’m doing exactly what I was meant to do: creating the ultimate alchemy between online business and entertainment, empowering others to rise in the process. I’m no longer following directions. I’m following my purpose.
