We’re looking forward to introducing you to Rosanna Barr. Check out our conversation below.
Rosanna , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Absolutely, I am hard working, dedicated and loyal. I always go above and beyond to each of my clients and I make each one feel like they are no 1. I am kind, respectful and a loyal employee and would a good fit to anyones company.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
HI I am Rosanna From Rosanna Photography, I am a portrait photographer that loves to capture people and their moments and turn these into lasting memories. My favorite photography would be newborns, but I love capturing events, families and kids of all ages. I dont shy away from capturing someone’s last moments or their first, and my love of capturing and stopping time for each family I meet is what drives my passion for photography.
The world we live in is precious, the sunrises and sunsets are each unique and to be able to capture the moment is what drives my love for photography and then adding an extra element of editing to my images creates a flare and uniqueness about ht image I create for my client.
I am originally from South Africa and because I grew up in such a diverse and unique country my love for capturing the wonderful unique cultures and watching peoples joy in the photos we create is surreal.
I look forward to meeting you the reader one day and having you step in front of my camera to capture your moments.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Having my first born son really changed the way I saw the world, I realized how magical being a mother is, the ups and the downs. How being a mom makes you into a super hero, you have this tiny little being that relies on you 100% and you are their protector and provider. Children show us how quickly time can pass, and by capturing your moments and freezing time, just to look those moments in a gorgeous printed books that keep your moments and memories alive in printed format. T
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Owning your own business is tough, it is not glamorous it is driven from a place of passion and you constantly have a feeling in your gut that won’t let you give up. As small business owner running my home, my own photography business you wear so many hats, from photographer to social media expert, networking expert, and many more.
Then again as an artist, you step behind the camera, and you street capturing your subject and you realize the love you have for your career as a photographer and artist.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The biggest lie for me is if you are a photographer you have to niche down, pick one gendre and people will love that. As a photographer if you can work with your camera, capture light in a way that makes your subject shine, you should not limit yourself to one area of expertise. People love your work, but they also start to appreciate how you go above and beyond for them as a client and those moments are priceless.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
Doing photography, my passion is being behind the camera, creating the moment, or just capturing a moment in time.
I feel alive when I have my camera and when I see each image unfold on my screen. I love to share with families and when you capture someone’s last moments with their family, these images are priceless to you.
