Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenneth Lytle.
Hi Kenneth, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Delicious started as a feeling before it became a brand. I founded it out of a need to create spaces that felt honest, inclusive, and rooted in real love for music and culture. What began as small gatherings driven by curiosity and community slowly evolved into something bigger—events, collaborations, and a platform that reflects the energy of the people who show up.
Over the years, Delicious has grown into a creative ecosystem centered around Minimal House music, nightlife, and culture in San Diego and beyond. We’ve hosted events, worked with local and international artists, and built a reputation for prioritizing quality, intention, and vibe over hype. The goal has never been to chase trends, but to curate experiences that feel timeless and genuine.
As Founder and CEO, I see Delicious as more than just parties—it’s about storytelling, representation, and creating opportunities where culture can thrive authentically. We’ve been building steadily for 6 years now, and the journey has been about learning, adapting, and staying true to why i started it in the first place: to make people feel something real.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Building something independent and community-driven comes with its share of challenges—financial pressure, burnout, navigating relationships, and learning how to protect your vision while still staying open to growth. There were moments where it would’ve been easier to walk away, especially when things didn’t move as fast as expected or when the work happening behind the scenes wasn’t always visible or appreciated.
That said, every challenge has reinforced why Delicious exists in the first place. This isn’t something I’m doing for convenience or validation—it’s something that feels deeply rooted in my soul. Even when things get heavy, the purpose has always been clear. The struggles shaped the brand, sharpened my perspective, and taught me resilience. If anything, they’ve made the journey feel even more worth continuing.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work lives at the intersection of music, culture, and community-building. As the Founder and CEO of Delicious, I curate experiences that go beyond nightlife—spaces where sound, people, and intention come together organically. I specialize in creating environments that feel immersive, inclusive, and culturally grounded, whether that’s through events, artist curation, or creative direction.
I’m known for my taste and my ability to spot energy before it becomes obvious. Delicious has always focused on quality over hype—booking artists with depth, cultivating a loyal community, and maintaining a distinct identity rather than chasing trends. I take pride in building something that feels authentic and emotionally resonant, not transactional.
What I’m most proud of is the consistency and integrity of the brand. We’ve created opportunities for local and international artists, held space for underrepresented voices, and built a platform that people trust. What sets me apart is that this work is personal—it’s not just what I do, it’s how I move through the world. Every decision is rooted in intention, experience, and respect for the culture.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The most important quality behind my success is availability—being present, approachable, and willing to show up consistently. A lot of opportunities come from simply being accessible and engaged, not just visible. From there, organization and the ability to network intentionally have been crucial. Building something sustainable requires structure, communication, and knowing how to connect people in meaningful ways.
Honesty is another core value. Being transparent with collaborators, artists, and my team builds trust, and trust is everything in this space. Pair that with a strong work ethic and the support of a solid team, and that’s where real momentum comes from. I’ve learned that no vision grows alone—having people around you who believe in the mission and help execute it makes all the difference.
