Conversations with John Frazer

Today we’d like to introduce you to John Frazer.

Hi John, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I always liked singing, drums came naturally, and I love songs with relatable lyrics

I lost my drums in a day of stupidity. When my sister’s murdered fiancés brother got a harmonica, I borrowed it and was able to get some cool sounds from it.

I had to get more drums and tried playing them together.

I worked as a mobile DJ for a while, but it was not satisfying- even though I incorporated live music into the show.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I was banned from one club due to it being run by an egomaniacal liar.

I was fired from my day job after defending myself from a coworker.

There are people that will never like you in this life. I have been fortunate in that respect. Most people do like me AFAIK.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I love when I get an idea for a new song- either original material or a cool arrangement/ mashup what sets me apart is my harmonica skills

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
