Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheena Lyte.
Hi Sheena, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
If I go way back I started the name back in 2003 when I use to play video games. I wanted a license plate where people could tell I was a female but not obvious. We can come back to that part. During my time as a server/cocktail waitress I wanted to have a business circling around food and beverage wanted my own lounge. This was around 2011 to this present time during Covid my friend and I was talking at work and how we trying to get out the rat race. I came up with the idea hey what if I did IceCream and liqour (I needed something unique something that could go on the travel or food channel- my favorites) so he said pick a date and bring some friends to try. That I did after that started with the details how it would be served and how I would have just regulator’s you could find in the store. It would be flavors of fancy boogie people. Now when it came to the name since o was still a gamer CATCHHER .. this is my gammer tag name on XBOX and CatchHer IceCream was the name for so well. Also gave it that mischief. Only for grown folk 😉
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely!!! Finding a place to sell to people. Not only that where to make it. I’m not from San Diego and San Diego in the color community is very cliquey. I understand because it’s not a lot of readily resources for us, it’s like let me get mines and keep it so that I’m the only one who gets it mentality. I feel it’s love out here but sometimes I don’t feel like people want to see me win. I can’t find a place to sell nor produce my IceCream. The licensing is crazy. I’ve found some loop holes but no worries I’m going to keep going, for sure. I will find my big break.

Keep moving keep that vision there and be yourself don’t change for the people around you. People will love you for you. Respect is important
