Check Out Rachel White And Jennifer Hatfield RJAD Owners’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel White And Jennifer Hatfield RJAD Owners.

Rachel White and Jennifer Hatfield, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We are currently in our 6th year as business owners of our hometown dance studio: RJAD as well as the Dancin’ Feet Boutique. Last we talked to you we had finished off a great dance season and ended at our Nationals Competition.
Since then, we have continued to grow in our enrollment, bringing in new faces older and younger. With our competitive program we have received multiple sportsmanship awards, studio spirit awards, and top scores which makes us so proud to see our dancers / studio be recognized for their behavior on AND off the stage,
We are very proud of the work we are doing and each year we learn so much more about ourselves and the business.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course every business has their struggles, but we try to not let it affect our students or the decisions we that make. What we do strive for, is making sure we remain all inclusive, and make dance available to our community in a way that matches more than one lifestyle and schedule.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At RJAD we try to find a balance between the competitive dance world and the non-competitive side to dance. We encourage our students to do other activities outside of dance while also offering opportunities for those dancers who want to do a little more within the studio.
Our competitive dancers get to compete on multiple stages throughout the seasons, while we also have our “Performing Group”; where new and experienced dancers work together to learn a 20-30 minute show that travels throughout the community to Senior Centers, events, school, and other venues.
We love to sponsor and support our dancers when they have opportunities outside of the dance studio, while it also allows us to support community businesses around us, as well as other donations we make when we can. Ramona supports us and we love giving back when we can.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Sticking to our values! Also knowing there is place for everyone, while hoping that the environment we are creating is a place people want to call “home.” It’s been our home for over 35 years, and we want our dance families to feel the same.
