Tiffany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Spending many years in the corporate world, I realized something important: success didn’t feel complete unless it was connected to purpose. After four of my family members battled and survived breast cancer, I felt an even deeper pull toward work that would allow me to make a meaningful impact—something that supported people on their healing journeys while fulfilling my own passion for helping others feel whole, confident, and seen.
That calling led me to paramedical tattooing. Today, I’m grateful to create restorative treatments that blend artistry, compassion, and care. Whether it’s 3D Areola, dark or light scar camouflage, or stretch mark restoration, my work is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their skin.
I created my business name “Own Your Journey Studio”, most importantly because I want anyone that has been through an event that has left them feeling less than whole ( a mastectomy, surgery, weight loss, accident, something they were born with, etc) to own their journey. Some people will say “own those scars” however that doesnt work for everyone. Many people dont want to the rememberance of how their scar was created, they want to feel whole again, they need to own their own journey and that is where I come in.
The second reason for my business name is because I am finally owning my journey. I searched for so long to find a career that I truly loved, a career that embraced my love of helping others. The years past by and I convinced myself to keep the status quo in my current career, that it would take too long to learn a new career and the fear of losing everything. Then one day I finally stopped and said “I Can” , a motto that I have lived by for so many years through my long distance running. I tell everyone else on a daily basis that they can do anything they set their mind to and now I am finally taking my own advice and I am so happy that I did.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
If making the decision to change careers, learn something new and start a business was easy and smooth, everyone would do it, right? It has taken a lot of dedication, training, and money to make this dream come to fruition and its all been worth it.
The biggest challenge has been marketing a niche business. So many people do not even know that Paramedical / Medical tattooing exists. They dont know that their scars from surgeries or accidents can be camouflaged to match their surrounding skin, they are not aware that I can use an inkless serum to eliminate their stretch marks and they dont know that after a mastectomy, a 3D areola can be tattooed to make them feel whole again.
I spend a lot of my time speaking to groups, building my social media, networking, attending events, talking to doctors, etc to educate people about my services.

When you come to the studio you will be surrounded by a clean, calm environment. We want you to feel comfortable and safe. If you would like to listen to soft music or rock, we aim to please. Prior to your appointment, we will have a free consultation to discuss options, answer any questions that you may have and an explanation of what to expect. You will also notice that something that sets me apart from other artists is how much I involve my client in the process. As the artist, I will guide you as I am the expert however I always want my clients to understand why I am using a certain color or why one method will be better than another.
