Today we’d like to introduce you to Pebbles Lara.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was first a burlesque performer for Pixie Stixx Burlesque and that’s when I was learning to market while going to school for marketing. I thought why not do this for myself as a fashionista on Instagram. So, one day, I sat myself down and thought through what I wanted my Instagram to be about.
I wanted it to be about fashion, travel but most importantly to connect with my audience. I want to encourage people to love themselves for who they are and what they want to become. It takes a lot of self-dedication and that is the reason why I am here today. I want to make people feel special.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s a bumpy road. It is really easy to get distracted with real life and it can discourage people to hold back from what they really want. For example, I am graduating college and planning a grad party. I am cleaning the house inside and out, so I forget to post. I figured out what time my audience is on Instagram and every day I post one photo at that time. It is a fun everyday job.
what should we know about Pieces of Pebbles? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am new and have a lot to learn to grow Pieces of Pebbles into my dream vision. I have a great support team who also specializes in marketing and social media advertising who help me along the way. I am most proud of Pieces of Pebbles because of its journey and the happiness it brings to people.
For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
Women are well positioned for whatever they want. Who is to say she is well fit for only one job. Everyone has a trait that they are a master at and no one else can do that. Women are faced with challenges, yes, but we are also faced with the opportunity the minute we open our eyes in the morning. Tomorrow is a new day and women are marvelous. Women will find a way.
