Today we’d like to introduce you to Dawty Music.
Dawty Music is a platinum duo production team. The two members are Warren Kurtiss and Tyler Reynolds. Warren grew up in Paris France, and Tyler is from a Chicago… These two young fellas have been business partners and best friends for a little over ten years.
They have done work with some of the most legendary artists such as Ne-Yo, Estelle, Janelle Monae, French Montana, Sean Kingston, Boyz II Men, Wale, Snoop Dogg, Mya, Teddy Riley, Shaggy, and the list goes on!
They are now takin the Wave of artist-producer/Dj by releasing their own songs and putting the Dawty Music Brand on everything they touch.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
We are mostly composers/producers but we are also great songwriters, and we can sing are butt off. We also geek when it comes to engineering Nixon’s and mastering… Our biggest influences come from the greats such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder and the Beatles. Also, we grew up listening to a lot of hip hop and RNB from the 90’s.
The producers that inspires me the most are Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Teddy Riley, Scott Storch, Rodney Jerkins, Dj Snake, will I am, Etc…Our genre is situated between pop And Rnb/Soul with some Hip Hop elements for the most part!
What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
Be open-minded and listen to all kinds of music. Pay attention to details because this is what counts in the end. Bring to the table soul and emotion first then learn and understand the music and the Sonics.
