Life and Work with Diane Halfman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diane Halfman.

From Undercover Prostitute to Empowerment Speaker & Trainer for Leaders. It was never Diane Halfman’s plan to walk the streets and become a prostitute, yet alone get involved with vicious gangs and narcotics, but her life choices put her in grave circumstances. Danger became a way of life for Diane forcing her to carry a gun in her hand every day for ten years. You see, Diane Halfman was an undercover cop for the San Diego Police department. Her job was to infiltrate the gangs and prostitutes, bust the John’s, bring ’em down and clean up the streets.

Diane understands fear and survival instincts—she lived them and knows what it takes to find your grit, perseverance and power to push through any challenge. After being medically retired from the police department as a result of a training accident, Diane took her years of experience along with her Master’s in Human Resources Management and Certification as a Life Coach to pioneer the creation of her own company called SPAlife. SPA is an acronym for Seek Power Always. Her podcast, “Live Your SpaLife” is a call to action for all women to define and create the life they truly want.

As the RESET Specialist, Diane Halfman travels the country speaking, consulting, conducting workshops and seminars dedicated to helping overwhelmed women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders move from a life of emergency to emergence. Diane possesses a unique set of skills and life experiences that allow her to coach, guide and demonstrate the very techniques she used to RESET her own life and those of countless others. Her passion is to teach women how to be their own COP – walking in the world with more Confidence, Optimism and Power. Diane is a native of San Diego. Her family has been in San Diego since the 1920’s.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Life is a series of platforms, pitfalls and plateaus. Some of my darkest struggles became my greatest lessons. There is no failure only feedback. Look at what your “failures” or setbacks are telling you. It’s all part of the journey. Have mentors that help you maneuver the path. When I shattered my gun hand, it was a career-ending injury, yet it brought awareness to how exhausted I allowed myself to get and had the opportunity to make changes.

You can always hit the reset button and reinvent yourself. I also was in a very unhealthy relationship that had major hits to my self-esteem. Even lessons from that now allow me to support others who may be second-guessing themselves and need guidance to trust themselves and choose courage over fear. Trust your instincts. Your knowing will always get you further than your knowledge.

Please tell us more about your work. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
I specialize in empowering women through one-on-one mentorship, group consulting, and uplifting listeners through interviewing positive women disruptors who are on a path of conscious leadership.

The Live Your SpaLife Show features interviews with female entrepreneurs who share their experiences from disempowerment to empowerment. The host of the show, I utilize my former ultimate power position of a police officer to help empower entrepreneurial women to reset their own life by stepping into their feminine power. When you combine accomplishment with harmony, you live what I refer to as the SPAlife: SPAlife symbolizes a life where you Seek Power Always within yourself. The show conversations speak to women who have forgotten this and let life, work, and family obligations run them into overwhelm and exhaustion. With this awareness, women can better access their inner feminine power to create the ideal life of their dreams.

What sets me apart from others is I utilize my experience as an undercover prostitute to help my clients discover how to remove the layers of tension, toxins and trauma to become more Fierce and Feminine and stop second-guessing yourself. When you realize how Being Visible is not the same as Being Seen, you will then embrace being the real you and living life on your terms. I will show you how to be your own COP: having more Confidence, Optimism and Power!

Who have you been inspired by?
1. Ronda Renee because she lives a life that is internally referenced verses externally led. She’s a big proponent of trusting your intuition which I believe is a guiding force, especially for women.

2. Maria Whalen because she is an advocate for people being their own doctor, which makes her a warrior for people to take responsibility for their own wellness. I think that is important where many felt victimized and don’t realize how much power they have to make changes to their life experience.

3. Marie Forleo because she promotes living a life you love. I love her authentic style and it’s a dream of mine to have her as a guest on my show.
