Life & Work with Cara Chadwick of Dana Point

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cara Chadwick.

Cara, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
From childhood, I have been a nature lover and artist. Through life art has been a constant pastime and passion. I love painting a range of subjects from flowers to pet/horse portraits, it’s amazing to be able to capture an animal’s essence for the owner! In recent years I have also started using my creativity in food too! Creating beautiful healthy meals full of color and edible flowers. Starting Cara Grace Fine Art my art website and more recently Cosmic Nosh a website dedicated to health and wellness.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s never a smooth road, but we all learn to roll with the punches and bend with the wind. I love what I do, and I’m lucky to have others appreciate it! It’s been a lifelong journey of getting to know myself and what drives me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have a lot of areas that I focus on, between painting and now food and starting to build a health coaching business, as well as hopefully getting a meditation group going in Orange County. When it comes to my art, horses have been the focus, creating beautiful oil portraits for clients is something I just love doing so much! I think I am able to really capture something of the nature of my subjects.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I would say loving what you do every day is definitely up there! I still want to be more successful when it comes to building more clientele. I struggle with that as many artists do. I think being able to fully support myself through these things would be true success for me. I still do other things, like training horses to supplement.
