Today we’d like to introduce you to Grella Lichorobiec.
Hi Grella, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born in Lima, Peru. For the last 40 years, however, the United States and Southern California have been my home. Growing up, I had a passion for fashion. In my younger years, I worked in different local boutiques and I knew that one day I would have a boutique of my own. After working for 15-plus years in the veterinary field, that one day became a reality when the pandemic hit. I was unemployed and needed to give me and my mental health what they deserve, to finally be my own boss and to do what I love.
Kela’s Boutique is a full boutique on wheels that carries the latest fashion for all body types. Each piece in our collection has been hand pick with care to deliver trendy, casual, stylish, and sexy quality apparel at affordable prices. We love to have the opportunity to come to our customers and give them that one on one they deserve. We also participate in local pop-up events but most of all we love when our customers host private parties for their friends and book our trailer to give their party that special touch. Our ultimate goal at Kela’s Boutique is to provide affordable, trendy clothes for all shapes and sizes while servicing the Inland Empire and beyond.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing is easy, as it takes work and passion to pursue your dreams. Gathering the courage and strength to embark on this journey was a difficult task, but it opened a world of opportunities. Currently, I would say what has been the most challenging has been building our boutique on wheels. You have to make sure you make it both functional and convenient and to provide the best experience possible for our customers. We’re now upgrading from a 10×6 travel trailer to a Vintage 1974 Argosy Airstream! I cannot wait to have it all done. I guess we didn’t learn from all the headaches the first trailer gave us, but it’s all worth it in the end!

Kela’s Boutique is an online and traveling Boutique. We love the fact that we’re not in one place but are able to bring our boutique anywhere. We can be booked for parties, private shopping, or just because the possibilities are endless!
How do you think about luck?
I guess I would say the fact that my wake-up call to finally take care of me came from a global pandemic. So, I don’t know if I would call it either good or bad luck, I guess it was just my time.
