My husband knew I’d make a great filmmaker before I did. Actually, I’d always sort of daydreamed about making films, but it never occurred to me that I could actually do it. I think I am lucky to say that my family has always been the one to see me clearly as an artist, whether it was them buying my first Van Gogh coloring book at the age of 4 or being ok with the murals I would paint all around the house, they knew who I would become and although there is a lot to be learned about the beauty and horror about being an artist, the most important part is to have people that believe in you when sometimes you can’t believe in yourself.
