Hi Aaron, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Yes, recently had a call to look at an antique mortise lock on a front door. The deadbolt wouldn’t stay retracted when they unlocked the door. So I took it apart created a new spring to replace the broken part. After the repair, and putting the lock back into the door, it was great to see the lock work flawlessly once again.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Aaron Corbin and I own, and run, Punk Lock & Safe. I work on all shapes and sizes of safes, and I also work on antique locks. I’ve been working on antique locks and safes for almost 6 years and have been building my business for almost 3 years.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
In all honesty it’s looking like my hair, but it seems to be a slow release. I’m enjoying it as it falls to the wind.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Biggest one was dropping out of high school, but I “healed” that by eventually going to community college and graduating with honors for an AA in Music Theory.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m driving home from a difficult job that was completed without any problems.
