An Inspired Chat with Casey Cantwell of La Jolla

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Casey Cantwell. Check out our conversation below.

Casey , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity!

Having high intelligence or having good energy/charm is great, but it can be paired with deceit and ill-intentions.

Having integrity on the other hand- a pure heart with pure motives- builds trust with yourself and others that will take you way further in life. The safety and wisdom that comes from walking in integrity opens doors of promotion, and positions you for greater opportunity than any shortcut.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Casey, and I was born and raised in San Diego! Three years ago I launched San Diego 360 Video Booth to cover costs for a mission trip I was leading to Malawi, Africa. It has now turned into my full-time catalyst to elevate events and spark joy and lasting memories with others!

Whether it’s a brand activation, wedding, or special event- my team and I are on mission to create unforgettable experiences that empower people and brands to shine.
I have been partnering with some incredible event planners and venues, and look forward to continue to expand to create lasting impressions for brands and clients!

In addition to business growth this season, I am launching a lifestyle movement empowering others to live boldly in their God-given purpose. Through faith based breakthrough coaching, online teachings, and day retreats, I’m on mission to spark others in their calling, activate their spiritual gifts, and be a catalyst for transformation.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I actually grew up with a lot of self-hatred. My constant thoughts were that “I’m not good enough”, “I wish I was someone else”, I am so ugly”, “I’m not smart enough.” “I’m a mistake”.

I battled with these swirling thoughts even into college. It wasn’t until I learned the truth- that there was someone who loved me so much, He gave up His life for me- that I realized my value.

Since then, I’ve come out of agreement with every lie that has tried to rob me of my self-worth, my peace, my joy, and my purity.
Every draining lie that once stirred rejection, envy, depression, comparison and immorality has now been replaced with the truth that I am a beautiful child of God. I’m not an orphan, but a daughter of the Most High. The one who created the foundations of the earth, has also created me so intricately, and is in constant pursuit of me! Alive and active, He is with me in my darkest moments and highest mountain tops.
He pours out an unconditional love that heals every word spoken against me. He releases a peace that surpasses all understanding- a joy that is unshakable! And a holy confidence that all things work together for my good.

I have been chosen, created for purpose, and destined for a time as this, and believe you have been too.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has been one of my greatest teachers. It has taught me the importance of humility. It has taught me how to examine different perspectives in life or a situation, and challenged me to seek the gold in every circumstance.

Suffering has expanded my capacity for compassion. Its given me a depth of understanding for those walking through trials I once faced, and the wisdom of how to relate and comfort them.

Suffering has helped refine my character, sharpen my discernment, and strengthen my endurance in long-suffering. It has given me the grit to always get back up and try again.

Most importantly, the pain of suffering is where my faith is tested, tried, proven, and matured; faith in God’s promises over my life. Faith that my identity doesn’t come from my circumstances-good or bad-but my identity comes from who God says I am. My faith and perspective of eternity will always remain my anchor, no matter what kind of suffering I may endure.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I believe everyone is wired to be in relationship with God-not religion. Not rituals. Not distant. But an intimate, moment by moment connection that overflows with an abundance of life, power, and freedom.

From that sweet, deep bond with the Holy Spirit comes clarity of purpose and an empowerment to fulfill your destiny.

My life long commitment is to help ignite other’s intimacy with God, activate their spiritual gifts, and teach how walk in true authority- seeing breakthrough and transformation in both the spiritual and natural realm.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When my time is done and I am gone, I hope people would remember my love for God. I hope they’d tell of the radical faith and dependency I had on Him across all areas of my life, and share of all of the incredible supernatural stories that came from doing life with the Most High.
I am a true walking testimony of God’s transformative power and love. I’d hope the fruits of my life would inspire others to see that a life filled with the Holy Spirit is better than anything else this world can offer.
