We’re looking forward to introducing you to Christina Rogers. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Christina, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Have you ever been glad you didn’t act fast?
I am known for being excited to skip to the end of a project. Through teaching classes and creating our new Oracle Deck, I have really learned that you have to stay present and enjoy the ride. Once something is at its end, there’s no creative output to enjoy any longer.
So working on our Oracle Deck I have been really enjoying slowing the process down. Which has been good because as with any publishing adventure, mistakes often get caught in the preliminary process!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Lunar Lotus Retreats creates tools for reflection, self-discovery, and gentle personal growth — including our upcoming 52-card Lunar Lotus Oracle Deck and companion guidebook.
The deck is designed as a “soft return to self,” blending calming, minimalist artwork with poetic messages and journaling prompts. Each card is an invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect with your inner voice.
Our work is rooted in the belief that people feel most empowered when they feel safe, seen, and supported. We design every offering — from the deck to our workshops and creative projects — to foster awareness, self-acceptance, and intentional living.
Whether someone is new to self-reflection or deepening an existing practice, Lunar Lotus is here to offer a quiet, steady companion on the journey.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
When I was little I was a ‘star’ of my own show. I lived near the woods and I was a little forest fairy who would sing and dance and play with vigor. I miss her.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
I discovered through years of effort, trying to be some ideal version of myself, that the refusal to accept who I was then, who I am NOW, was the crux in hindering my freedom.
I was surrounded with the ‘go go go’ of America, the “you can do better than that” from my parents and romantic partners, and yet, no one was just gentle and soft. “You are perfect already, little one.”
Despite mountains of evidence to the contrary, I believed I was still lacking in so many ways; but all my friends and family love me deeply, “warts and all” as they say.
The process of creating tools for others to see this ‘soft return to self’ allowed me the space to craft from what I had been needing to hear, and feel, all along. It has provided me the opportunity to give that soft hug and reassurance to myself, and really start to believe it.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Everyone is rushing to improve, and grow. Neither ultimately provides the peace that comes from freedom. Growing is wonderful. Improving is great.
But forcing it creates a form of comparison that most people don’t talk about: A comparison to some ideal of yourself that if you met them, if you TRULY lived that ‘ideal’, you’d realize pretty quickly that it doesn’t feel aligned. Because that’s not who you ARE.
“It is essential to honor your past, know yourself, learn about who you are, and then love yourself.” – Your Soul’s Plan by Robert Schwartz
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
Someone who cares deeply about the path, and helping others along it. Whatever that looks like, in whatever lifetime, I believe that’s where I would be found.
