An Inspired Chat with Jessi Bajoie

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jessi Bajoie. Check out our conversation below.

Jessi , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
We invited a small group of GMG customers to come give video testimonials about their experience working with us.
It blew us away, being able to listen to their stories of how we’ve added value to them – that keeps us inspired to keep going, and help more woman owned businesses.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
We’re Jessi & Ali, sisters and co-founders of Girls Meet Globe. We’re a creative agency with a focus on commercial video and photo production.
Our super power has always been helping brands create content that celebrates women! While we don’t exclusively work with women owned businesses, it is one of our favorite things to do – to be able to physically help empower other women,

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Jessi here –
When I was pregnant with my daughter, going through such a new experience and identity shift really made me rethink my career. I think alot of women go through that with pregnancy and motherhood, trying to figure out your new role as Mom but also still knowing that you’re just a girl going through life for the first time too, with hopes and dreams – and now you have new evolved dreams that you didn’t know you wanted before.

It happened to be during a slow season of work, so I remember questioning if this was the right path for me and even thought about other career changes.
After having my daughter and having such an incredible support group, and gave me a new perspective and motivated me even more to keep building.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
Our creative industry often tells us that theres no more room, that there isn’t enough business to go around.
I sometimes buy into the lie, but then I keep meeting people who are building new businesses and pursuing their dreams every day – and it reminds me that all of those businesses need creative strategy and content.
Every time we think there are too many content creators, just remember how many new business owners are also popping up that need the exact creativity that you have to offer to help their brand!

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
I’m still learning that working harder and hustling more doesn’t mean more reward.
Now that I have a family, I know I’ll regret if I don’t trust my efforts more – meaning trust that I’m putting my best work forward and I can leave it at that, and feel comfortable setting it down to go be present with my family and enjoy other moments in life.
