Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Krista King, born and raised in San Diego. I became a freelance photographer after my international modeling career and am absolutely passionate about photography. I’ve had a decade of experience in front of the camera and know how to communicate to my clients so they can look and feel their best in front of the camera. When I’m not photographing people, I’m teaching photography and sharing my craft with others. I’ve mastered the art of editing to ensure every image is exceptional, and I pride myself on building genuine, lasting relationships — many of my clients have trusted me for years.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I used to have a map of the world pinned to my bedroom wall, marking each new destination with a tiny tack. I would stare at it for hours, dreaming of all the amazing places I longed to see. When I was sixteen I went to Paris and Tokyo. The adventure opened my eyes to how much there was to learn about the world and I continued to live abroad for over a decade.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Be true to who you are and don’t worry about what other people think.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My family means everything to me and my sixteen year old daughter.

I feel most at peace when I’m creative and productive. I thoroughly enjoy taking exceptional photographs and making beautiful edits.
