An Inspired Chat with Omid Rejali of Mission Valley

Omid Rejali shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Omid , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
My son, Eli who is six years old and started first grade was elected by his peers as his class council president. As his father, that made me extremely proud of him for taking the courage to want to act as a leader at such a young age.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Omid. The name gets its roots in Farsi and means hope. I’m a trial attorney for the people against the powerful. I truly believe in the power of our jury trial system as being the last line of defense between the powerful and the people.

Only juries have the power to collectively stand up for their fellow brother and sisters in making sure that they are treated fairly.

As a trial lawyer, I act as an educator, and light for the truth and in making sure jurors get the correct information in making the right decision.

I’m truly honored to be trusted by the individuals I represent and by jurors who allow me to provide them the information they need in a fun, and creative way, so that they can come to the right decision.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Division, judgment, and hate to name a few. Empathy, compassion, understanding and love.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You’re awesome the way you are.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That as trial lawyers we have more power to influence the outcome of a trial than we really have.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The story of courage, justice and love.
