An Inspired Chat with SNØ BLVK of Mission Valley

We’re looking forward to introducing you to SNØ BLVK. Check out our conversation below.

Hi SNØ , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I’m being called to step into full visibility — no filters, no hiding. For a long time, I was afraid of really taking up space with my story, my brand, and my perspective because I worried about judgment or being misunderstood. But now, I realize that being unapologetically myself is the exact thing that inspires others.

I’ve also stopped lowballing myself and started charging my worth — and that worth keeps going up as I grow. That shift alone has been freeing, because it’s not just about the money, it’s about honoring my value and showing others that they can do the same.

Whether it was launching Code BLVK University, speaking on stages, or creating content that sparks conversation and even controversy, I’m no longer afraid to be seen, to be paid, and to lead unapologetically.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is SNØ BLVK — I’m a beautypreneur, author, and founder of Code BLVK LLC, where BLVK stands for Beauty, Luxury, Vision, and Knowledge. My journey is far from traditional: I became a young mom at 16, overcame homelessness, and turned my challenges into fuel to build a brand that empowers others to do the same.

Through Code BLVK University, I mentor beauty professionals on how to turn their skills into digital products, monetize their content, and secure opportunities beyond the chair. I also write books and guides, like The Digital Beautypreneur, to give others the blueprint I wish I had starting out.

What makes my brand unique is that it’s unapologetically raw, innovative, and personal. I don’t just teach beauty — I teach resilience, ownership, and the power of showing up as yourself. This year, I was excited about launching Code BLVK University on Juneteenth and hosting Code BLVK’s very first pop-up shop is coming soon — creating new spaces for beautypreneurs to grow, connect, and get paid for their passion.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that played small to make other people comfortable. For years, I felt like I had to shrink my voice, dim my light, or settle for less than my worth just to be accepted. That version of me served its purpose because it kept me safe while I was finding my footing, but it can’t come with me where I’m going.

Now, I’m releasing fear, people-pleasing, and undercharging. I’ve stepped into a space where I honor my value, speak my truth, and move with boldness — even when it makes others uncomfortable. That release is what’s allowing me to fully walk in my purpose as a beautypreneur and leader.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell her, “You’re not broken — you’re just becoming. Every challenge you’re facing is shaping you into the woman you’re meant to be. You may not see it yet, but your strength, your creativity, and even your struggles will one day inspire others. Keep going, because the version of you that you dream about is already on her way.”

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I believe entrepreneurship is something you’re born with. It’s that spark that pushes you to create, innovate, and lead even before you have the resources or roadmap. You can learn skills along the way, but the drive — the vision to see opportunity where others don’t — that’s in your DNA. It’s something I’ve carried since I was young, and it’s the same fire I see in other beautypreneurs who are destined to build something bigger than themselves.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m creating in my zone — whether that’s content, makeup, or building out ideas for my business. There’s something calming about watching my mind work and seeing an idea transform into something real. That’s when I feel fully aligned with who I am and what I’m meant to do.
