Hi Andrew, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
They don’t want me to retire.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My dad and I started the Carpet Cleaning back in 1981. We worked together for a few years then mom and brother came into it. I worked with my brother for a few years and then went on my own. In 2000 I bought the business and took it all on alone. I have been on my own now for 26 years and have had my ups and downs. My parents taught me to work hard and do the best job I can. And I still do that today. I knew at a very young age I was going to follow in their footsteps. It has been an amazing ride and am very happy with my decision.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
Defiantly my dad. He never let me stop and always had me moving. He wasn’t easy to work with but he taught me how to get the job done.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
No! Failure was never an option. When I start something I never stop till I’m done.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would say integrity workmanship and make people happy.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Not one thing if anything I would just do more. Live life till the last day.
