Today we’d like to introduce you to Alejandro Murillo.
Alejandro, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
My unique story is that I was the Graphic Designer that created the poster that started the buzz around Mayweather vs. McGregor. May 8th, 2016 Conor McGregor reposted my poster with the Caption: MMA vs. BOXING and a little over a year after that it came to be one of the biggest sporting events of our generation.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I’m a Graphic Designer specializing in Fight posters. I always had a passion for creating posters and a passion for combat sports. It was always a dream of mine to create something that people will remember, a small part of history of some sort. When I designed the first Graphic that Conor McGregor reposted, I knew that fight will happen someday. My message to everyone is if you have a desire to create something – do it – you never know what chain of events your art will have on the world.
Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
My advice to other artist is never be an affair of criticism. You can’t please everyone in the world to focus on what makes you happy.
