Art & Life with Alida McDaniel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alida McDaniel.

Alida, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I developed depression, chronic illness and binge eating at an early stage of my life. For 20 years I was in a fog, feeling like I was stuck.

Along the way, I studied philosophy and comparative religions because I wanted to understand what the soul-purpose was in all of it.

When a third doctor attempted to put me on anti-depressant meds, I decided to change my life, one piece at a time.

I went to culinary school at the California Culinary Academy to learn how to appreciate food rather than be gluttonous with it. I learned about fitness and nutrition by reading and working out. I went on to lose 80 pounds and conquer the chronic conditions that held me down.

Within two years of graduating, I’d been recruited four times, worked my way up to my dream job at a fine dining restaurant, and designed menus for a medical wellness center. During that time, I taught myself yoga, meditation, and tools for manifesting the reality I wanted.

And while I was very happy to be in such a creative space, I felt a pull to do work directly with clients and support them in finding their power. Finding their way “home” as a spiritual being having a human experience.

I started as a personal trainer who used universal tools like “Law of Attraction” to coach my clients in attaining faster results and continued my own search for answers in the quantum field.

After six years in the industry, I was exhausted. My focus was spread thin between holding the image of a bodybuilder and attempting to remain grounded in my spiritual practices. During that time, I’d risen to the top and created a powerful name for myself in the industry/community…and also crumbled emotionally and financially with one bad business partnership.

I began working from home to hone in on my skills as a coach from the foundation of spiritual psychology while attending the University of Santa Monica. I wanted to heal and rebuild with clarity and confidence.

In 2012, I got my call to be a spiritual teacher and because I didn’t listen, four months later…I died.

When I crossed over, I saw the grid of infinite creation…the keys to manifesting reality!

I was told to come back and teach that to others so for the last six years, I have been working with tools and strategies to be spiritually aligned with our highest creative power.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I am a speaker, writer, and intuitive. I work with clients to create a life others could only dream of.

My work now as an Intuitive Life Strategist supports clients in getting clear on what they WANT vs. what they DO NOT. Reason: 99% of the population in the world is creating more of what they don’t want simply because they don’t realize how their thoughts are attracting that reality.

It’s science. It’s also spiritual. And it’s THE most creative thing any of us will ever do.

This is Matrix-Level creation!

I want people to understand that reality is not fixed. It’s a calibrated “creation.”

When we can calibrate our thoughts to match the reality we WANT to live, then match this with actions and habits to support those thoughts, it’s like the universe clicks in all the right pieces, and we wake up into a new life…a new identity…that just FEELS right.

It’s my intention that, by teaching people these tools, compassion for self and others will become the foundation for all our creations. That we’ll become “the change we wish to see in the world,” and a movement will spread Response-ability in how we show up for, and impact, the world around us.

Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
The best piece of advice I would give: don’t let fear stop you. Instead, let it forge you.

Success is counter-intuitive. Meaning: your brain is hardwired to keep you safe not to take risks. So if you want something to change, you must acknowledge that fear will rise when you are coming up against something your brain sees as a risk…aka something that you have no frame of reference for yet.

Fear is present mostly when doubt, pity, and scarcity are influencing your belief about what’s possible. Rather than believing they are the only potential outcomes, be willing to challenge your own beliefs by exploring beyond it.

Take risks, jump in head first with your passion, and drown out the naysayers who try to convince you that it’s not possible just because THEY weren’t able to succeed.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
